- jason knight replies to david| 1 replyI have bought diamonds through crimson and have received the diamonds eventually I have tried to sell them locally and found out there not worth a fraction of what I had been told what steps can I take
- Alfred ( butler to Bruce Wayne ) replies to jason knightSo the tiny fat bloke Craig Cooper has sold you diamonds that arent worth what he told you they were worth, and dont tell me he wont answer your calls.
Well if you paid any part of this on a credit card then look up clause 75 of your credit card agreement then put in a claim under that. Not just for the deposit paid but for the full amount.
For example, deposit £100.00 and they charged you 3k for the diamond you will get the full amount back. You can do this on any scam you have been caught on.
And the best thing is the credit card company will go after the tiny sweaty fat bloke for there money back. Oh and dont forget to claim back the intrest on the money either.
Also report the firm to action fraud as well you will be surprised at what they can do and the insolvency service they have the power to shut them down and maybe a prosecution will follow.
They have been very active recentley and some firms are being prosecuted for conspiracy to defraud.
Let us know how you get on. - Eveline replies to Skinny GuyYou are absolutely right. He is just a crook and his phone is now disconnected!
- Gazzasmiff replies to RIPPED OFF| 1 replyDid u get any joy ? I too am after my investment back
- Jaybird replies to GazzasmiffHi I too have been ripped off, have you had any joy in getting any of your money back yet?
- H.Jones replies to david| 1 replyHave bought diamonds from Crimson Fine Diamonds. They have them in their vault.!! No response from my left messages.
- John replies to H.JonesTry parking or storage next. That's the latest doing the rounds. Wine and Diamonds are old hat.
- martin| 1 replycrimson fine diamonds has been dissolved as a company. I can't get hold of Cooper by e mail mobile or office which is now on answerphone. Think he has finally done a runner. Have taken legal advise and section 75 is your best chance of getting your money back. Good luck
- Tired replies to martina thought been mentioned on other posts on this WCM site, why not start a petition you get so many signatures and it would have to be debated in parliament . I know one about pensions was started by a member but one of unregulated investments in general would be good. I'm sure you could get media on board were all tired of these Scammers
- Ash| 1 replyHas anyone claimed through Section 75?? - I'm thinking of doing this... Can this be applied for even after 3 years?
Paid for a diamond end of 2012 - It was kept in "safe keeping" I was told on the invoice. I sent a mail to craig@cfwines.com in April 2015 (after the Hatton Gardens break-in ) to confirm on the continued safe-keeping - He replied and said it was held in a vault at 100 Hatton Gardens and 2 people have access to it - And that I can meet up with him to obtain access to it or he can send it to me. I said my home insurance doesn't cover it so didn't follow up on his offer!
I spoke to Balthorne Group who run the deposit boxes there and was told that the deposit box another Craig Cooper and/or Crimson exists but that they haven't paid the fees on their box since Mid-2014 - and that Craig wouldn't have been able to open the box in April 2015 because they hadn't paid their fees! I cannot go their with my certificate/invoice and proof of identity and get the box open as it is in the company's name - which has dissolved itself!!
I have given my story to ActionFraud
Please advise on my Section 75 question - worth a go? - ThunderBird 4 replies to AshAbsolutely its a win win situation for you as you have up to 6 years fromwhen you found out it was a scam. Even if you paid only a deposit on your Credit Card you can claim the full amount on each and every purchase they conned you with... as in fraud
Also as all the victoms diamonds were kept in the name of C. Cooper and not in your own name there, this makes it a collective investement. So report them to the F.C.A as well and they may take actionas well
The storage company will at this stage only release the diamonds to Cooper once he pays the fees
or if the police get involved they may take them as evidence of a crime, that being the case they will be returned to you, but you will be disappointed at there true worth., but i think you already know there mark up, dont you!
So Google clause 75 then get in touch with your C.C provider and ask for a charge back application form and get the ball rolling,!!!
Oh and the best thing is.....the C.C company will go after Cooper for the money back.
Any one know where he is now, it was reported he was living in a static caravan somewhere?
Let us know how you get on
