It is Richburns Debt Recovery. They work on behalf of all the Power Companies. I e- mailed them after Googling the number on my phone.  Next day , got an e-mail back asking for the account number and who supplies my Electric.. Not replying with that.  I fancy it may be a scam.  They are based in Barking.

They phoned just now , never answered. Within 30 seconds they rang from a mobile. 07837698782.

Be careful, they ring on a mobile number , 5 minutes later they are knocking on your door.

It's Richburn recovery. Had a letter from them on the weekend stating they would be coming round my house after a debt i have with British gas (Yes check it out all of £60 owing!). Rang British gas and sorted a payment plan over 2 monts and said they would be cancelling the bailiffs. However to no surprise they are chasing me today for payment. Typical!

Bailiffs cannot enter or do anything unless this has been brought to court and you have had a judgement against you

I have been on holiday and totally forgot to pay my british gas bill. It is 8 days overdue and then i receive threatening man banging at my door who terrified my 5 year old  and me! Asking to be let in or he would force entry ?!!!! I obviously didn't open the door but he left and put a Richburns letter through saying i now owe £175.00 instead of £120.00 as they have charged £54 to bang my door look scary then go ?? All this for an 8 days late payment 😡😡 I am calling British Gas to pay bill directly and file a complaint! Is there anything i can do if i have paid off my british gas bill and they try coming back for this fee of £54 as im not paying it !

Richburns basically fishing by using old data or a power dialler knowing that the vast majority of numbers they call
may at some point have had or have an account with British Gas N Power etc etc.

rang to say I had a debt (NPower) - which I do not, my account currently is actually £ 200 in credit.  Hung up on them and blocked number.
