hi i had a couple of missed calls from this number and when i rang it back it was just a switch board. i would be grateful if someone could find out who was trying to get intouch with me.   my email address is [removed]@hotmail.co.uk

This is the Portsmouth City Helpdesk - the main telephone point of contact with Portsmouth City Council and all its departments. They have a policy of updating people that call the Council with queries, reports and complaints ( e.g. I had made  a recent report of smelly drains to the Portsmouth City Highways Dept. This number called me back yesterday to update me when it would be dealt with).

Definately Portsmouth City Council. As Kerry said, could be any department

All outgoing calls from Portsmouth City Council show this number, so it will be a legitimate call.

No message left by caller. Tried to ring back no answer. And no idea why they rang!!!

Same as most other people.  Tried to call the number and no response.  Someone else checked the number too get a reply,  but still nothing.

Had so many missed calls from this number, always during the day while I'm in client meetings so not able to pick up. Tried to call them back and it just automatically hangs up. Probably a scammer.
