This number came up on my phone and as I didn’t recognise it I didn’t answer it - I checked the number and it was from Coventry.

Indian call centre, claimed to be White Line (or Lion?) Surveys, asking info on brands of washing machine, ISP, Windows or Mac, and whether we prefer to pay by DD or cash. He then asks to confirm name and address and reads out a made-up name & address, and apologises that they have errors in their database. I assume they do have the real address on file and will sell it to burglars if you said you have expensive brands.

Caller made several attempts to get through but rang off each time when the trueCall device demanded a name. Usually the sign of a scammmer, as they do not like being recorded. A very effective first line of defence against scammers.
