I received a call from 0261004079 and was told that the call was from ATO and that I had been chosen for a 7000 AUD grant. I think I was pretty sane to realise that it was some sort of con job. But I took down the number and googled the same. Looks like I was right and it seems like some sort of a con job on the round.

I think I will report it to the ATO so that they take some steps. As for my details being with these people guess I need to be more careful on who and where I put in my details.

Received the call from this African accent bloke who kept on saying Mate, to sound like an Aussie. But its a clear scam and you only get these calls if you are listed in public directory on Yellow Pages. They calling himself Calvin, with ATO ID: 52000 asked me to call back ATO Head Office in Canberra on 02 6100 4079 and quote my claim number A102. This is all scam. Looosserrrs

I Received a call today from number #0410 223 815. They said for me to phone the ATO head office on 02-610 040 79 and I will receive a nonrefundable payment of $10,000 from the government. This made me a bit wary stating this.I had been told that the government selected the people based on the good credit ranking and paying the tax properly over last several years. They also could verify my home address. Be very careful do not fall into their trap don't give them any details.

yep- just got the same call, although they said it was $10,000 tax free. for my non crimal record and paying my tax on time. Funnt that, i have been late 2 years in a row,,,,told me to call the same number as the others 02 6100 4079.

Hey guys..... I think I am the luckiest.... they told me I got $10000 from ATO...... I dont know how these stupid got my number and name.....

I received call from guy called himself Chris Bryan, trying to speak american accent but I recognised he from India as I am indian too. He did the same thing, 10000 grant, tax free, call office 02 61004079 and even reference number..

However, the most annoying thing was how he was able to find my name with reference to my number. I have emailed ATO (Original office) and lodged complaint about the phone call. Its surprising that how they are still unable to find those people out and stop them?

i just got the same call frm unknown caller who says the same wording like others... & they gave me the same number... its all fake cz we just find that number on google & saw all these reports ... cn smone stop that scam... thaxx

Hi Guys, i just recieved same call but told them to f**k off. i put then on  and told they your call has been recorded and i am veryfying your details. the guy just hung up

I received a call this evening from an indian accent man, saying that he was calling from ATO Canberra. According to him, I am one of the lucky owner for a Government grant of $7000.I had been told that the government selected the people based on the  good credit ranking and paying the tax properly over last several years. It's a confidential grant program from the government and that's why it didn't publish into the news earlier. I also been given a reference number and contact number (02 6100 4079) to call, talk with the senior officials and claim the money.

Exact same thing happened to me. they were telling me that the only way i would get the claim no for the money was by transferring money to some douche in new delhi via western union money transfer.

I got a call from same no. They are fake stupid people.
