Just had the call while I was typing away....same as above, great citizen and pay my bills on time so ATO will give me 7k. Seriously how can they not stop this stuff??

I received the same phone call from a lady, I called back but know one answered my phone call

This is definitely a scammer.. Gave the caller the firing of his life !! And asked him to google the number he was asking me to call as he is obviously very famous...

i have also got call from this number, they ve given the ref. no A910 i ve call to the number they going to give me $7000.

I also got a call from the same guy, George Parker, told me the usual crap. While he was on the phone, I googled the number he gave me and found it is a scam as I thought. I told him the number he gave doesn't sound like an ATO number and he replied "It is a confidential scheme !" what a crap ! I am going to submit a complint to alert scam department of government.

A calls from Ms Gorge Parker from ATO and give me the 4 digit reference numbers and the phone number 02-61004364 to call to receive a cheque of $ 7000.
This seems like a fraud as you all guys know verywell (as pre below reply).

Don't reply - these people are all crooks and fraudsters. They are using remote call-center. Don't give them any details. Govt agencies are having all your valid information - so they will never ask such information on the phone.

hi ...I got a call from a unknown number on my homephone yesterday in regards to me receiving $7000 as being approved by Julia Gillard for having no criminals records.
The person gave her name as Christina and her contact as: 0261004364 and also a ref #: a912

Hi, I got the same call same talk..but after reading this i m not calling on the trapped number....Funny thing is they are calling on weekends when ATO call centre is closed.( so u cant confirm?? )

accents seemed east asian..be careful...Can we make police complaint about this?

Hi, Even i got a same call. She was like i am calling from ATO. I have exact an experience like others. BE CAREFUL.

Same thing happened to me.  Exact same details like the above calls.  PM Julia Gillard has decided to offer good citizens $7000.  Asked me to call on 02 6100 4364 and gave a reference number A912 to quote when calling this number.

Can someone please post the correct phone number? I am quite certain I gave the correct number!

hi everyone just got a call from Geoge parker saying from ato saying I am reciving 7000dols only hve to do is send 260dols for unicef in western union. then they will gve me 6 digits and i can get 7000 dolls its all scam plizz be carefull.

I also rec'd a  call today from geroge parker, telling me to give a call back on 02 6100 4364, i will check this with ATO and will come back.

Just checked with ATO and its a fraud.

i hv jst received one like dis today sayng the same non sense crap .....

I just qot the same call and she didnt even tell me her name or explain it well enouqh to even be true! all she said was im a qood citizen bcuz i have no criminal record and im beinq rewarded $7,000 and that i was chosen randomly! She didnt tell me a company name all she said was that its from the qovernment!!!
she told me to call her manaqer back at (202)621-0067 & that i had to qive him an approval #...

The guy over the phone said his name was David Johnson. Had a strong Indian accent. Told me that Australian Tax Office owes me $7000 and to get it back i have to call him back on 0261002975 and give reference number A213 Ask for him  or Mr Mark Andrwson (Its not a wrong spelling. This is what he gave me). LOL.

got the same sort of call from 0261002975 and they said I've shortlisted to win 7000 for being a good citizen. I googled the no. and guess what it is a known scam.
Beware of these guys.

My indian caller, Michael Adams,  on 18/12/12 offered $7000 for being a good citizen etc.etc. but my wife took the call as I was unavailable. She smelled a rat and insisted on a call back number. He was unable to comply because he was on automatic dial but provided 02 6100 8155 which we could ring in the am. to claim the grant money. We also had a grant approval number but MA could not predict which officer would take the call. PS He wished me a merry christmas.
