A gentleman called today explaining he was from the Taxation Department. He had my address and said he needed my tax number and bank details. Obviously this is a scam, I just want to know where it's coming from.

i just received  a call from the same number 02 61764485, asking me to donate some money for children in Asia,
by depositing  200 I'll get 5000 back? SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm please beware these people are good.

I got a call from a girl 2 hrs ago reg same thing - I know its a scam!

Man with Australian accent phoned today and left message telling me to call back today before they start proceedings against me for tax evasion.

I had exactly the same call. I'm not sure but I think it's a scam

Me too. Recorded message saying that I was being charged with Tax Evasion and asking me to call that number.

I just got prerecorded msg threatening 2 charge me wth tax evasion, who is this? i got another call from someone from this number wth heavy indian accent, it sounds suss.

Same thing, Australian tax office. Private number,  but left a message and number to call them back. Can't something be done about these scum. Always trying to rip honest people off.

I just got a call from this number claiming to be the ATO. I played along and gave a false name as soon as I asked him my name and address he hung up on me

Did not answer.  Fairly certain it’s a scam.  Voice to text message received was:
"It's Mark Lynn. The fraudulent and suspicious activities. Paper works sent(?) to the registered address has also returned back and signed and undelivered(?)."

Recorded message claiming from ATO about some tax evasion charges and asking to press some number to talk to someone.
