is it a scam then?

I received a phonecall from this number claiming that she is a pldt service provider. I notice something strange when she asked for my gcash payment reference number.

Called and claim rep (she) is from PLDT regarding a Free Upgrade on my home plan. Free wireless mesh but I already have one set and do not need anymore so I declined and told her I really do not need it and offer it to the next person on my list. I was busy at the time but accidentally answered the call. I hung up after explaining that I was not interested.

I should get more information from her if and when they call again to better update this group.

Received a call yesterday (Feb 6, 2023) but I did not answer because the number was suspicious. I asked my friend and said maybe it was a scam to get my info if I answered the call. Im from Philippines.

called just now, no audio over the line. But my S21+ gave a pop up notif that it is "PLDT HOME"

This looks like a phishing scam. Do not trust calls from this number.

Someone called me with this number. I didn't answered it thinking it was a scam and might get may information. I searched about this number and ended up here. Glad that I didn't answered it

You think that by answering a phone call they can "get may information"? Have you been treated for paranoia before? If so then contact your doctor and if not seek help.

i didnt pick it up because i had suspicion that it is a scam or a location tracking call

This number called me just now, it went straight to voicemail because my phone is on DND. When I listened to the voicemail, it was a guy singing a Filipino song.

i received a call from 02 8000 0000 and told me that her name is rona from PLDT HOME she told me na since i am a loyal subscriber she said she's offering me an upgrade to my present PLDT postpaid plan i told her i will think about it. i was actually feeling suspicious and worried because the woman knows my name and my mobile number. when i told her i will think about it and will just call 171 if im interested, she just ended the call. i then searched the number online and "google" brought me here.
