Same message from Indian man reportedly from A TO reclaims department. I was told to call Garry Smith 0280914944 to confirm they are legitimate. When I called back they said the office is closed for the day- call back tomorrow as they couldn't get my file to work. They got correct address and name already, wanted to know DOB and bank after I said cheque as I wouldn't give details for direct transfer. At this point said I was suss (a little slow I know but better late than never). CALLED MY BaNK to report scam and check they couldn't access details. Obviously a call center.

Had a caller claiming from the ATO that I have a warrant for my arrest for taxation fraud. He says he will help me not get arrested and jailed for 5 years I paid the amount outstanding $4689.00. He had an Indian accent and tried to sound official by reading out the Act and his ID number. The background noise was a busy environment. When I told him it was impossible for me to be fraudulent with my taxes because I use a Credited Chartered Accountant, he became annoyed and threatened to have the Federal Police arrest me for not complying with his demands. Disgusting scammers trying to scam on innocent people into believing their BS! If you see this number, ignore it and block it!
