It's a scam... I called 3 and they told me that I do not have to swap from 3 to vodaphone as they r the same company and there so no way my phone service will stop working.They tried to call again today, when they call next I will tell them to get lost.

Ive been gettign calls from these guys for atleast two months now. the one time i managed to get the call in time they wanted to upgrade my phone contract. as far as i can tell they are connected to Virgin, Three ans vodaphone. No idea if they are legit but my reccomendation to to go to your local phone dealer and find out.

Called me 10 times from 3 am in the morning till 9 am. Can you block this number its been happening for several months now but sometimes its quite and they dont call for a few weeks then one day theres like 15 missed calls! They tried to get my pin for my phone also.. It seemed dodgy so I hung up!

(02) 8789 4400 called me last week and just told me that I am eligible for a phone upgrade and that's it. Called up All Phones today to see if I can get my new phone and they said that I still have another 4 months on my phone contract :S
Tried to call the number back just now but it goes straight to an engaged tone.

I've had half a dozen calls from 02 8789 4400 in the last week... and a few more previously.
Each time they use deceptive tactics to avoid saying where they are from such as "I'm from your mobile phone provider" (but then couldn't tell me the name of the company)...
The last caller eventually (after being pushed) stated she was from All Phones...
I rang my local All Phones store and was provided with a 'head office' number:  "138000"
After calling that number, they confirmed that 02 8789 4400 is an All Phones number.

I made it very clear that they should stop calling me.

I got the call from this number weeks ago and today again, everytime only ring 1 or 2 seconds and no message left. It seems they try my number for fun. Last time i picked the phone, some Indian guy said he represented vodaphone who merged 3 company,so they need my personal information and send me the new SIM card. Sounds ridiculous and a very soft reason.

Number keeps calling me - can hear people on the other end - muffled.  Then it hangs up.

Extremely annoying - please report these people if you can.

0287894400 is saying they are from 3G/Vodaphone and another time from Allphones.  I have had this number call me constantly.  I have answered 4 calls from them now & each time have told them I am not interested.  It is a scam.  They are after your personal pin number.  I believe it is some type of fraud.  My main concern is that I have reported it with 3G, gave them the dates & times & conversations that went on with this number(0287894400) & they will not investigate it.  They told me I have to answer 3 calls from this number within 5days.  Apparently it is the policy.  But what makes me more upset is the 3G Customer Complaints Department have seen all the blogs & complaints people have posted but still won't do anything about it.  Im sure someone high up in the 3G department could overide this ruling.  I think it's disgusting & disrespectful to 3G customers that the Complaints Department are allowing this to happen.  And I feel sorry for the 3G & Vodaphone customers that will get sucked into this scam by number(0287894400).  I am no longer a 3G customer.

Just tell them you are on the 'Do not call list', believe me they will stop calling immediately.

This number keeps calling as the same as everyone else.  Anyone have any idea as to what this is??  very annoying!!

At 930am yesterday and today I've received 2 missed calls from this number. When I try and call back it connects for like 2 seconds then disconnects me. I have no idea who it is calling me and why they are calling. I am a vodafone customer so I don't know if that has anything to do with it..  Someone HELP!

I suggest not to call that number again. I remember once upon a time when I used to work in retail selling mobile phones I used get myterious numbers that kept calling me and other people I know. Later I heard that you are charged at $50 every time it connects successfully. How it works is who ever owns that number they charge your phone carrier then your phone carries charges you. So the owner of the phone number makes money out of you. I suggest not to answer any strange number like that again.

PS: I don't know if the number is 028789 4400 does that kind of thing. I want to report to the cops but if they won't do any investigation unless they receive a significant number of incidents reported.

I received call from 02 8789 4400 . They don't speak anything and phone hangs up itself. When I called them no body answers the call and it hang up itsef.
