- Anonymous replies to edzSame here, just got a call today.
I received a call on July 15, 2024, around 1:53 PM from (02) 8888 7000. The caller, a woman claiming to be from Security Bank, asked if I was the person she named. Suspecting a scam, I didn't confirm my identity and instead asked why she was calling. She mentioned it was about an auto loan and asked if I had applied for one. I responded, "I don't know, but may I know which dealership forwarded my contact information to you?" She couldn't provide details and said she had no information, which was a red flag.
I muted the call to ask my husband if he had transactions with Security Bank. When I returned to the call, the woman hurriedly assured me that my information was safe and the call was recorded for quality and security. Then, she asked if my phone number was linked to GCash. Curious, I questioned why this was relevant, and she simply said they needed to know, to which I responded, "No." She then hung up.
A few minutes later, I received an SMS from "SECURITY BNK" (without an 'A'), time-stamped 11:18 AM, although the call ended between 1:56-1:57 PM. - AnonymousI received a call on July 15, 2024, around 1:53 PM from (02) 8888 7000.
