Just got a phone call from this number. Went to Telstra to change plan from Optus. The caller Claimed to be from telstra and the call was Regarding Optus account number so they can transfer my number to Telstra.

It's Telstra's call center calling.. I reset my online account password, I was told by the customer service agent someone would call back to make sure I could access my acc with no hassles. I told them if I had any issues I'd call back without a doubt.. So I'm just ignoring their calls.. It's amazing how many Americans live in Sydney and work for Telstra. it's Proberly a call forward relayed number they call from America via skype to a to a skype account telstras set up in sydney with the number 02 9478 2200 which patches  the call through to us!!!!

After reading previous posts am also pretty sure it is Telstra.  I have requested that they discontinue direct debiting my bank account for a service I am no longer receiving.  I have transferred to a more responsive and attentive LSN provider.

Just got a call from this number Claiming to be telstra in regards to porting a number from a different telco. Suspicious however as the number was in my husbands name porting to an account in his name, whilst they claimed it was to port to my own account. As soon as they starting asking for me to give them my address I hung up and called Telstra directly. I was told that there was no calls logged on my account from telstra to me and that there would be no reason for them to contact me in regard to an account being ported in my husbands name as it would be a serious breach of confidentiality.

In the end I was given a number to call at telstra to block all telemarketer calls and told to ignore the number if it calls again

I just recevied a call from this number - very crackly line - the lady on the other end (phillipino sounding) told me she had just been talking to someone on this number (which she hadn't).  I hung up.

Got a call from this number saying that they were from Telstra following up on a complaint supposedly made from my number. When I explained that she had called an unlisted VOIP number that NO ONE has, she became quite confused and said "solly" and hung up.

it's telstra. the calls came after i escalated a support issue.

Telstra rep calling about an online order

I had 3 missed calls when I rang back it says its telstra. I ordered a new cell phone on Saturday they called Monday morning

It's definitely Telstra support. Just got a follow up call from them with regards to my ADSL problem I reported last week.

About a week ago, I had a problem with my landline not working. Since then, I have had no less than five apparent follow-up phone calls from people saying they are from Telstra, but I am starting to doubt it. Today's call was *extremely* suspicious. The girl spoke almost no English, she asked me a heap of questions and gave me information, and *then* asked me to verify my account by giving my birthdate. I refused, this time. She did not offer to forward my call to someone else.

When Telstra call, they ask for verification information *first*. I do not believe this really is Telstra. Beware! And report it to Telstra.

I made an online complaint & told chat staff I was contacting ombudsman in reply I am now receiving nonstop hangup calls from telstra call ctre.

I signed up for a new phone and plan earlier tonight, now I get missed calls and messages from this number.

The voice to text gets it wrong of course and it reads "Hi Ian, this is macca for Child Support I need to talk to yo as_"

The annoying thing is that I got a Telstra rep' to opt me out from this number three months ago, and they are now at it again.

I called Telstra to cancel my service and they advised calls were taking too long to process so it was better they call me back. Well they did call from this number but hung up straight away meaning I had to call them back. Sneaky and rude. Just adds to the reasons you should avoid them.

I had this missed call, I called back and it was Telstra. It said they would try calling me back or I could call 1800 008 034 for any questions.
When I called, they were just notifying me something about my online order as I had an amount to pay on the previous Handset.

Telstra following up on a complaint I think.

Called to let me know a service transfer request had been completed. Didn't answer at the time, so they sent the relevant info through text.
