It left a message which seemed to be background noise

called from number 03001 232 323 keeps calling and hanging up,

Just had a call from 03001 232 323
they rang off after 5 rings - just as the answering machine woild pick it up.. Obviously a cold caller

Aha! so they called back.  0300 123 2323 is the number from the national blood donation service - and it was a valid call after all...
They confirmed that this was their valid number...
so its all ok then :-)

When I picked up the phone, all I got was a ringing tone, as if I'd made the call and was waiting for someone to pick it up! very strange.

I got a call from 03001 232323 and later found it was the blood transfusion service which I would have been happy to talk to as they do such a good job.  I get so many advertising calls now despite being on telephone preference so I don't answer when I'm busy.  Telephone preference is now useless and because they are not doing their job one day we will miss a genuine emergency call either through being on the phone to these advertising pests of through not answering, thinking it is an advert.

I've had yet another call from03001 239100.
Anyone know who's calling me all the time?
