Report a phone call from 03002003810 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- unknown| 3 repliesJust got a call from this number, said they were from the HMRC but I doubt this is genuine...
- Caller: NOT HMRC
- SuzanneIt is genuine - I thought it wasn't but just spent 3 hours tracking them down via HMRC.
0300 200 3810 is the call out number for the Debt Collection Agency at HMRC for PAYE and CIS.
Their call back number is 0300 200 3814.
I have asked them to address the way they make contact and let them know that they are listed on several scam number sites... Here's hoping it is dealt with!- Caller: HMRC
- Call type: Debt collector
- annoymous| 1 replythis number is HMRC Debt Management and is NOT A SCAM NUMBER
- Caller: XXXXXX
- Call type: Debt collector
- MartinThis is genuine.

- Call type: Debt collector
- colinGenuine inquiry about PAYE from HMRC line open till 8pm
- Caller: HMRC
- Sue| 2 repliesThis is a genuine number. When they called me however they started to ask me security questions which I felt uncomfortable answering as I wasn't certain it was them. Not the best idea to call someone and then ask them to provide confidential info over the phone. I called them back and it was a genuine call but HMRC need to look at how they call out particularly in light of how many scams there are out there.
- Caller: HMRC
- Call type: Debt collector
- AllanHad the same call stating we owed money for a particular pay period last year. Have spoken to HMRC who state we actually overpaid last year so figures we were given were incorrect. Leads me to believe its a scam and we've not had a call back from them yet so will see. If you ring back the number you are given who knows where it lands!!?
- JamesChecked and definitely genuine.
- Jo pi replies to annoymousThis number is indeed correct for PAYE - but this number has been hijacked by scammers so that the caller display thinks it is the government number - don't be fooled - the scammers also put messages telling you to send money to them- like the crook who posted this reply!
- Sharon| 1 replyHas anybody had a call from
03002003800
As they have left a message and asked me to quote my national insurance number- Caller: Hmrc
- mouse| 1 replySomeone called me today on this number quoting a PAYE reference number and asking for the Director. They did give a company name or the name of a Director. Problem is the number they rang is a domestic number and no company has its registered offices here and I certainly do not run a company I am now 66 and have been retired for several years. When I rang the number back, just out of interest, there was no reply and the HMR&C welcome tape did not play as it does if you ring HMR&C helpline as again, just out of interest, I did.
Clearly this is some sort of scam to get bank details and HMR&C or the police should be looking into it because the number is so similar to HMR&C's own. Although they will argue that you are safe because you should never give your bank details to anyone over the phone, especially on the back of a 'dubious' telephone call. And to some extent I must agree, but it still stinks.
I would like to know how they got my telephone number from and how they knew the format of what seemed a genuine Tax Reference number for this area.- Caller: 03002003810
- henryThis is a genuine HMRC tel no... Its a debt management number. If you receive a call from this then the likely hood is that you owe HMRC some money.
- Caller: HMRC
- Call type: Debt collector
- robert| 1 replyBE CAREFUL. I received a call from this number this morning, they were asking for our security details. I refused and asked for a number to call back. The number they give – 0300 2003810 – is NOT the number HMRC have on their website. Called HMRC this afternoon, they had no note on my account so it looks like this is indeed a scam.
- Caller: "HMRC"
- Stuart replies to robertSo your evidence of a scam amounts to "they had no note on my account". I think you need more evidence than that, and anyway if you think its a scam have you contacted the Police? No probably not, your idea is lets go to a website (where people make false claims of scams making it near impossible to identify real scams) and post a load of drivel.
As for security details, well if you owe money, and HMRC chases you up via telephone well they are hardly going to start divulging your tax record data without first doing some security checks to ensure that it is you.
There is one lesson here....keep on top of your tax affairs! - CJ| 1 replyAlthough it is a genuine HMRC number the reference number quoted is not genuine. I had the same thing this morning and called HMRC on an alternative number for security reasons and they confirmed that we have no PAYE issues and the ref number they quoted is not valid. This scam has been around for a few years and more info can be found on https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?id=199 ... 264523387030125 which is an accountants page. Please be very careful if you get one of these calls especially if you are confident that your tax affairs are in order.
- Caller: NOT!!! HMRC
- CJ replies to CJNB: I informed HMRC of the above during my call to them this morning and they have passed the details on to their fraud team to investigate
- Ariel replies to SueThe security questions are made up of information that's within the public domain.
- R J SpaceyCaller said they were HM Revenue & Customs. Never answer a number I don't recognise. Quoted reference 120P159387.
- Caller: Said HMRC
- OB MirzaITS A SCAM. I called HMRC (genuine phone number from website) to confirm that I dont have any outstanding payments and then called this number
1- the person I spoke to doesn't sound genuine
2- They said I have payment due to HMRC and I need to pay. When I said I spoke to HMRC before calling them, they said they have to check few things in their system and left me on waiting forever.- Caller: SCAMMERS
