Any person phoning out shows that number on the caller display.

If you return the call you get to a general switch board and they don't know why tried to call you. Their advice is to wait till you are contacted again.

If you were expecting a call from a person, then it may be worth calling them to see if they tried to contact you.

What a load of Wallies. As if there aren't more than enough foreign spam calls without our own county councils getting in on the act.

This is the wilts council number but is been used as part of a scam. A man who can barely speak English claims to be calling from wilts council on behalf of the nhs over a car accident.  The police are aware and have confirmed it is a scam.

Said they were calling on behalf of Leeds City council about an accident that I had (i have not had an accident) asked for a number could call back on they hung up.

A caller who spoke with a very bad foreign accent said I had an accident. I said no, and I put the phone down.

Had a call from a man who had a heavy Indian type accent claiming to be calling from The Lincolnshire County Council on behalf of NHS regarding an accident I had a while ago. It sounded odd the way he said The Lincolnshire County Council and when I told him I didn't believe him he called me a 'mother something and stick something somewhere'. Not a very pleasant call. I assume they pick the county that they are calling to add a bit of local content.

Strange I also had a call from this number two hours ago! Lincolnshire County Council, regarding an accident, I also put phone down! Scum and scam comes to mind.

This number called a few weeks ago, said it was a govt department, and we put the phone down. today they call again... this time its lincolnshire cc.

Lincolnshire County Council here too, by the name of Mike Johnson about an accident I've never had or reported but mr heavy accented Asian hung up when I asked for his number, email address and name of his superior.

Indian man just called said he was from Lincoln county council about an accident I had I told him where to go
And said you are scam xxxxxxxxoff

Just had this call too called me a mother f@&)er when I asked him what my name was and how he's got my number

had a call today but have answer phone did not reply. always go on internet to check number, pleased i did

Man with strong foreign accent claiming to be from Lincolnshire county council about an accident.  Glad I checked on here as was thrown by him saying he was from council.  But obviously a scam.

My friend just had a call from this number claiming to be social services and telling her to leave her husband is this a scam number and is there a reference for the police as this call caused a great deal of stress
