Asked approval for credit card payment which still outstanding RM5K.
Asked me to contact Bank Negara via fake number 03-27884676 to make report.
She talked in mandarin, had my full name and IC number.
I called Bank Negara (1-300-88-5465), they said it is scam, and they received many calls regarding this.- Caller: Scam
- christyI also got a call from them telling i swiped rm3k+ in a jewellery shop in KLIA2. He asked me to call 03-2788 4676 to make a report if i nvr apply for hsbc credit card.
- Caller: HSBC
- LeeGot a call and said rm 4k+ was swiped to buy bitcoin online using an HSBC card which I did not apply for. Also said that outstanding for the card is RM11k +. Asked me to call BNM to report which I refused to. Told Justin Kok (the guy who called me) to sort it out as the card doesn't belong to me and HSBC allowed the fraud to happen without clearing KYC thoroughly when the card was approved. The caller's number is 013 616 9689.
- Caller: Justin Kok Chee Wai, staff ID HS6490BC
- MikeSame modus operandi....this guy needs to be stopped or some poor soul will fall into this trap.

- itsascamReceived a call from this number. Same scam. Automated voice at first saying it's hsbc, did you perform a 4k transaction on your credit card, press "o" if not. When you press "o" you get a real person who then tells you he will call you back. He calls you on this number and says he's from HSBC you applied and were approved for a credit card in Klang branch, o/s is 11k, he will give you details like address, card number and 3 transaction details and say he's going to put you through the HSBC fraud platform straight to bank negara where you have to report the details and ask them to raise an investigation before HSBC can cancel your card and waive the o/s balance.
You should call hsbc directly on the number on the back of your existing cards to check with them - do not believe random phone numbers on google etc as anyone can set up a listing on google- Caller: hsbc fake
