Heee...I oso got called from a private number a few days ago. She said from gov, then ask me to call that number end 4888 .. I been curious then google that number & directed to this thread.She asked bout CGPA , already work or not...
After read all comments it conclude that training/job that might be provided just kind of customer service or things that out of my field as engineering student. Im not person that eager to over chose a job but considering d location, and other aspects , i decided to not call that number..that is my final decision...

hye peeps...i've got a call from scicom academy too...but not sure whether it is from the no. that you guys have been talking about...but yeah, they offered me a job as a cust service exec for astro...RM2500 basic for degree holders...

i went for the i/view at Menara TA One and passed the 1st and 2nd lvl i/view...the training would be for 42 days, contract is for 1 year...they said it is under a gov project for graduates or something...the benefits are attractive so i thought of giving it a shot..

they informed me that i'm supposed to start training on next Monday 16th Apr 2012 but before that, i have to pass the medical check up and sign an offer letter...they also informed that they will call me to inform when and which hospital i'm going to have to do the check ups...(and it will all be free since they are paying for it) but it has been 2 weeks or so but they still haven't called...

kind of worried, anxious here...is there anyone who is supposed to start on 16 Apr 2012???

I ve been called for interview AStro Customer Service. Passed both interviews and believe they will pay 2800 as promised. So I went for training at Bukit Jalil for 42 days..but actually it was 2 months.
Finish the traning, I ve been accepted as the Astro team customer service. A week worked there, I felt my life empty. I have limited time to rest, even went to toilet have the limit time. I have to aswer calls for almost 100 calls per day, or more depends on special period and time. After a week, not even got my first salary, I quit the job cause I felt I cannot dealt with the pressure. For those who believe they can assist customers and have good skills in that, you may proceed and go for higher level which is manager. But for me, I can't. It depends on one's person whether they can deal with it or not. Plus, you also don't have your own desk. Except when you become the manager. So, at the entry level, whenever come to work, you have to fight and find your own sit and dest cause there hundreds of other customers service work there too.
