Allegedly from HSBC saying fraud online on the card. It is a scam message.

Received a text message from Lloyds saying : Your one time passcode is 658818 for £479.99 to eBay.co.uk. If this wasn't you please call us on 0333 207 0479.

I don't have my eBay account attached to the mobile number this text came through on so I know it's a scam.

You may be correct but oft times banks and CC companies use third party fraud detection.  Although your number may not be attached to your ebay account, the payment method you default to on ebay may be connected to an account that has your number.  You are wise not to trust the incoming text but do not ignore it.  Look at your ebay account and contact the bank or CC company you use to pay on ebay using the number on your card or the published number for the company.  Scammers are clever and one of the behaviors that help them succeed is to throw doubt on legitimate fraud calls.  I hope you'll post back and let the community know if there was an issue.

100% scam, got the same text 10 min ago. I don’t even have a Lloyds account
