Stupid caller just want to check the number is active or not.
Once you pickup, its drop.
They sell the number to the stupid buyer.

Answered the call and immediately got cut off.

Called several times repeatedly until we answer the call once answered never talk, stay silent since we also maintain long pause.. the line get disconnected.

Got call from this number. Once answered, they cut off the call. I believe they wanted to check whether your number is active or not so that they can sell your number to scammers. Block this number immediately.

Call me also. Never pick up. Suspected scammer.
