Called ust at 6:45 am, didnt say anything. I called back and had a French voice telling me to wait.... and then nothing anymore. Strange!

The number seems to be German, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, but is itself not registered at dasoertliche.de

The same for me - received a call at 14:48 CET but didn't pick up. I called back later and just heard some french computer voice...

Had a call again (2nd within the last week). My cell phone (also O2 Germany) was switched off in that moment. the text message said that the call was from 08004402004. acording to whocallsme.com this seems to be the same caller then the rostok number.
anyone already contacted O2 service on this issue?

6 calls from this number within the last 2 weeks.

Hey! Strange thing isn't it?
I received a call from exactly the same number just two hours ago. I didn't
respond it, the same happened 2 days ago.
I called back because I have some friends in ROSTOCK (that is the city code) and figured it might be one of them.
However, just a french computer voice saying about having received the correspondate and to kindly wait some seconds - then the connection breaks down.
What the hell is that? I called back from landline I hope that was not a mistake. I hate those things  - life is already hard enough. Don't need those pain in the [***]!!!

Hi! I also got calls from that number and also the same: no one replies and the french mailbox thing....

so, o2 says, that they can´t do aniything right now.
that´s because they have to wait until the bill.
so depending on the date you get your bills, you´ll have to wait.
they also said, that you can go to police.

so i did just to get more informations.
according to the police men, the report makes sence if there wetre costs.
because of the french accent, they guess, the residence is out of germany.
the lawyers only care for foreigners, if there is a valuable claim.

so i´ll wait until i get my bill and if there´s something on it, i´ll go to the police again.
and very important: if there is something valuable - the more people go to police, the better. international claims are collected by the lawyers and if there are more claims, they will track the scamer.

und jetzt das ganze mal kurz auf deutsch, da ja mehrere deutsche betroffen scheinen:
o2 sagt, dass sie ohne die rechnungsdaten nichts machen können. und selbst dann wirds schwer seitens o2.
unbedingt ist es aber im falle eines finanziellen schadens wichtig zur polizei zu gehen und anzeige zu erstatten. das ist daher wichtig, da die französische mailbox auf auslandstätigkeit vermuten lässt. und diese werden eben idr nur bei finanziellen schäden von mehreren verfolgt.

Ist mir genauso ergangen. Ich habe soeben mit Deutsche Telekom gesprochen. Ihnen ist unter dieser Nummer nichts merkwürdiges bekannt. Der Kundenberater hat in meinem Fall einen Vermerk in der Akte gemachtund und an die Rechnungsstelle weitergeleitet.
Ich hoffe nicht, dass ich eine Böse Überraschung erleide. Denn hierbei geht es doch um eine innländische Nummer, die nicht als Kostenpflichtige Sondernummern zu verstehen ist. Kostenpflichtige Sondernummern beginnen mit 0900, 0180, 0800, 0137 und müssen vor Gesprächbeginn dn Betrag nennen.

es ist in soweit sinnvoll, damit bei dem provider mehrere meldungen zu der nummer vorliegen.
laut meinem provider ist ein großes problem, dass sich oft zu wenige melden, als das das problem eskaliert wird.

Habe seit 3 Tagen auch die ominösen Anrufe von dieser Nummer auf meinem Handy und meinem Festnetz, meistens so um 16 - 17 Uhr herum. Das Komische ist, dass weder meine Handynummer noch meine Festnetznummer irgendwo angegeben ist, da es sich um "Geheimnummern" handelt. Ob hier Datenmissbrauch betrieben wurde?

Diese Anrufe habe ich leider immer in Abwesenheit, weil ich das Telefon auf der Arbeit auf lautlos stelle und es in der Tasche habe, konnte also noch nie das Gespräch direkt annehmen. Hat jemand von Euch das Gespräch schon einmal direkt angenommen?

Habe heute bei der Bundesnetzagentur angerufen, die auch für solche potenzielle Abzocker zuständig ist. Denen ist keine Beschwerde bekannt, ich könne mich auch nicht direkt beschweren, sondern müsste den Anrufer anzeigen und die Polizei würde dann die Anzeige an die Bundesnetzagentur weiterleiten. Eine Anzeige wäre allerdings schwierig, da hier keine Bedrohung oder ähnliches stattfinden würde, sagte mir der Kerl von der Bundesnetzagentur.

An die User aus Deutschland: habt Ihr schon weiter Infos über den mysteriösen Anrufer herausbekommen? Vielleicht sollten wir uns mal per Mail kurzschließen und gemeinsam dagegen vorgehen?!

wie schon geschrieben, anzeigen lohnt sich laut meiner polizeidienststelle  erst, wenn ein schaden entstanden ist.
man kann auch eine belästigung anzeigen, die aber nicht ins ausland verfolgt wird, da kein finanzieller schaden entstanden ist.
