I dont understand how could be scam as they ring me at least once a day when I do answer it disconnects and when I tried to call back it rang then had a engaged signal so a scam could get nothing out of it as I also prepaid and just a normal charge it would cost them more to ring everyone they are ringing!!!! Weird hay.

Have rung me twice a day for the past 3 weeks and hang up when you answer. Driving me crazy and totally weird. Are they just doing it to annoy? Can ANYONE tell me how to stop it?

Does anyone know what it really is about?  I keep getting calls from this number too.  I just answered it and a guy on the other end said, "Hey! Mrs C?!  Are you still on *insert name here* road? I didn't recognise the voice, so I said "who is this?" and they hung up.  Tried calling them back and it just hung up! WTF?!

They have just started calling me today. I have never answered as I don't answer unknown numbers, usually people will leave a message. 6 missed calls! I'm glad I googled the number. I know just to press reject now!

This number has been calling me heaps over the last 5 days and it is getting really annoying. I answered once got background noise then a guy went "oh" and hung up. WTF. whoever it is P*SS OFF

Same here ,ring my business mobile I wonder if they're paying for the calls as must be costing them a fortune.
Is there anything we can do about complain to Telstra security or the Ombudsman??

have been getting calls from this number for a while and i just let the answering machine pick up. they hang up. then i got sick of it and answered to tell them to stop calling. they still hung up. i called back, and my call gets rejected. wtf. in the past 5 hours they have called 9 times. who are they?

Got calls from this number and when I try to call back, it rings 3 times then comes up disconnected.

i got a call from this number. it rang me at 6 pm but i missed the call and when i rang it back it rang three times then it hangs up.

have been getting this number ringing at leastb 3 to 4 times a day and night i refuse to answer the mobile phone. i have caller id so when the number shows up i know not to answer it. but it is really giving me the sh----.

i have a feeling this call is from G.E money just got a new home phone and getting these calls all the time. missus got them demanding someone else supposed to be a new home phone number but they keep ringing and bout the same time these calls started. does not matter what we say they keep ringing they are ba88ards theres nothing we can do to make it stop am considering ringing telstra they offer a free service to all people if you explain your being harrased by people and they wont stop will change your number free of charge. have had to do it before becuase they recycle people's numbers so sometimes you get someone elses problems too

I get calls from this number so often! I've only answered once, and when I did they sent a message saying 'Julie had her baby. Girl, 9 pounds" etc etc. But I've studies these in business studies, DO NOT REPLY!!! They often charge premium rates and will cost you heaps!

Ive gotten a bunch of these this week, but because i dont answer private or numbers i dont know, ive never answered to hear what they say, glad a googled it :D

we were getting calls from this number more than once a day and at anytime even in the evening when trying to sleep.  We got so sick of it, we are with telstra and they gave us a number that blocks all calls from organisations trying to sell you things and scammers.  It costs us money everytime a scammer calls from us answering or ringing back.  the no. telstra gave us is: 1800805996, you ring this no. and it will block all those, we have done it and the phone is so much quieter.

I'm glad i googled it too! I too had a missed call from this number, tried calling it back and no answer, annoying!

Just got one too today.. Was in a meeting.  Tried to call it back no answer after a few rings then just silence.

yer i have started to get these calls also in past few days piss me off as i am always expecting job calls i would like to know how they get our mob nums
