In response to the moron who has attacked what I said... I-View is a market and social research company hence acts as a DATA COLLECTION AGENCY! This means that the work the do is paid for by corporations who's R&D depts think that finding public opinion or client opinion is important... I-View is a for profit organisation yes, but they are not the ones commisioning the research, they just act as the indipendant middle man to kept the sourced data unbiased!

Received a call from this number, answered it-no one responded. Redialled the number and got an answering maching stating to leave your message. Who is this calling?

I'm glad I googled this # without answering it, if they call back they're going to receive a torrent of abuse.

To Reality Check, you might be right, but it's also not fair for these people to be so constantly harrassed.  If they can't take a hint that their calls are not wanted then they do deserve to be reported as they're obviously not playing according to the rules.

oh a bit touchy there. Sounds like a TELEMARKETER (that's really what you "market researchers" are - you flog information from us and sell it for marketing purposes) hasn't had their morning bong.

so many of you people are misinformed... get it through your heads companys who do market research don't sell anything on all they do is customer satisfaction and government surveys.. if you have a problem with it don't abuse the person on the phone talk to your local minister and try to get the state and federal governments to change how they do their research... jeez you think that if you where going to write an abusive message you would at least do your homework

If you don't wish to be called back by them so many times, then why don't you just pick up the phone and tell them you aren't interested? You should know that if you do that, then you'll me immediately taken off the list. As for the Do Not Call Register, market research companies are exempt from that. They're not-for-profit companies and won't be trying to sell you anything. They may offer you a chance to win cash prizes by completing the survey but they're not going to force you into doing anything. Companies like that from time-to-time do cold-calling. If there is no answer your number will remain in the system for another caller to take the call, and so on. The best thing to do is just to pick up, say you're not interested and politely ask them to take you off the list.

How thick are you!!! Why would they give you their number when you are not a legit research company hahahah get educated you moron! They are comissioned to do research and you are NOT!! This is a classic example of a small minded individual who probably has a lot to say and whinge about yet won't do research to get their opinion heard!

They are playing according to the rules. As Reality Check mentioned all you ened to do is say - sorry i am not interested' and they will go away and not call again SIMPLE!! By not answering or ;avoiding' calls you simple have them think you are not in so they try back. market research covers all people so just because you dont pick the phone up how are they supposed to know you dont want to participate in the research? For all they know somone may genuinely not be home. People should not be so paranoid and feel they are being harasses or stalked - there are plenty out there who do wish do participate ad give their opions so to make everyone happy stop wasting the research companies time also! :)

i recieved a call from this number on my home phone today, saying that they were calling from "the australian government", i just told them i wasnt interested and hung up, they havent called back yet thankfully

i just had this number call.. i let it run to our home answering machine and after the beep there was a woman's voice saying "for Christ sake!" I went to listen to the recording in case it sounded like someone I knew, but somehow my answering machine didn't record it!? very strange.

Calls, then hangs up, no message, annoying.
