This number is from a scammer.
Contacted me via gumtree to buy something and it smelt fishy, he says he works offshore in nz for NZOG only problem is there website says they have no one working offshore

I have an advert on Gumtree and received a text message from this number.  I did think the "don't text back" request was a little odd but gave him the benefit of the doubt.  LOL @ the super long email response typed in approximately 40 seconds.  I'm glad I Googled this number.  :)

He messaged me from gumtree add : so I asked for his address and bank details : then politely told hjm to go away

This dude wanted to buy something off Gumtree and I told him/her that it was far more than the advertised price. No questions, just wanted my account details and would send a courier to pick it up. Yeah right, all by email of course. First contact by 0409793748. Email: macsmith202@gmail.com. Calling themselves Kathy Smith, working, supposedly for some NZ company on an oil rig or something.

This guy is still trying.  Listed furniture on gumtree and received message (do you still have the gumtree furniture? Please reply to dorom088@gmail.com please no text).
Gotta give him and A+ for effort.   SCAMMER.

he is still using the same oil rig NZ story and phone number wish I search the number before engaging in a series of emails , have reported to the Government agency
