Hi, I’d like to report this number: 0485 869 540.

A stranger called me from this number and greeted me as if they knew me, but I have no idea who they are. It felt suspicious and intrusive, especially since I’ve never had any contact with this number before.

Don't respond and block the number.  While an innocent error is possible, it could also be an attempt to lure you into conversation, gain your trust, and steal your financial or personal information.  Most of these "sorry wrong number" scams are done by text but there are reports of calls as well.
