I am getting the "Amazon Prime" scam phone call almost daily now.  Reading the messages here, you would think Amazon, Ofcom or someone would do something to find and stop these annoying scumbags.  And if all 06 numbers are fake, how come scammers can get them so easily?

Thanks for this message. I have had the same... Saying its about Amazon Prime and that £79 is being taken out of my account for my SUBSCRIPTION. And then when I told them I didn't want it they led me into DOWN-LOADING an App Quick Support which I was told I had to do in order to cancel. Then my device appeared to be being remotely controlled! They asked too many questions so I hung up.

0601 and 0602 prefixes are numbers scammers use.

Keep getting loads of calls starting with 0601 or 00601 or 0390 they all hang up

Supposedly from "Amazon"

Had a call from 060187960260, claiming to be from my internet provider telling me that I had been hacked and they wanted me to download an app. Was suspicious so hung up and called my internet provider and found out this is a well known scam.

I have also received calls from starting 0601. I let it ring and stop on its own. I doubt that even disconnecting the call may be dangerous. Then check the number on google. This I do for all unknown number calls.
