Hello Everyone, firstly let me sincerely apologise to anyone who has been caught out by this 'scam'. TTNC is an inbound telephone number operator, we provide millions of telephone numbers to legitimate companies throughout the UK. We make every concealable effort to detect and block fraudulent companies from using our services. In this case, the number was purchased through a reseller of ours several months ago and has only just started being use. Upon being notified of the troubles on this number we have immediately suspended the number and the customers account.

Due to the way the UK Telephone network operates, it is possible to 'spoof' outbound CLIs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing). Since TTNC do not operate an outbound telephone service, our best guess is this scammer setup an automated system to dial random mobile numbers, spoofing the CLI to trick people into calling the number back. Unfortunately, there is no way for us or anyone to block these outgoing calls. We have however, disabled the incoming number so mobile phones and lane lines will not be able to connect to the number, and therefor will not be charged.

I'm so glad there are web-sites like this.  I just got a call and I was in the middle of texting so wouldn't have really had a chance to think about whether to answer or not.  It only rang for a nano-second.

I never call back unless I know the number though, without first checking here, so no harm done, except I'm annoyed now!

Great that this scam has been stopped, I woke up saw I had had a missed called but I am suspicious by nature and thought i would google it first.
Wonder how much money this scum has made before it was stopped.

Had a call from this number at 7:30am, rang one an that's it. Thought about ringing back but assumed person calling me had dialled wrong number. Glad did not ring back.

Had a call at 6.13am from 07022272800.

I had missed number. my phone rang for a second and displayed this number. I rang back and got an automated message saying something about a competition. I hung up immediately but yet to see phone bill.

I received a call @ 1.35am Sunday morning 6th Sept 07022272800. I have only just thought of checking it out and got this site.
I did not reply and will put it under scam call for future reference
