Look out for these number I have received a worring number of 07053 missed call bogus numbers this week

i just got my bill and to my surprise i have made a call on my mobile, and have been charged 99.49p   for 2mins 14secs to 07053552853 never heard of it, and i did not call it sort this out with c/wharehouse tomorrow

I work on the reception at a small privately owned hotel. This afternoon a man called and said that a colleague had stayed in the hotel earlier in the week and had left his phone. He said he had rung it and a guest had answered it. Could I ring it again and collect it from the guest then he would come in and pick it up later. I rang the number he gave me, 07053517655 and a very well spoken man answered. He said he was in a meeting at the hotel and could I transfer him to the man who owned the phone. Obviously I couldn't do this and then he said he had his number and could I ring him back andtransfer the call to him. I told him that I was unable to do that but would ring him and ask him to call again while I put him on hold. He then became very rude and condescending which I pointed out to him. He then was very abusive so I put the phone down. After a minute or 2 he rang back and whispered "[***]" down the phone before hanging up. He was clearly not at this hotel but what the scam is I'm not sure. Yes I did ring him so the cost was 19p a minute but his manner was particularly offensive. The other number he gave me was 07535545490. Any thoughts on this from anyone?

Company Name: Tele-Lynx (UK) looks suspect

looks like they wanted you to connect so that they could rack up the hotel bill and get commission from the incoming call to the 07053 number as its a kinda premium rate some of the 070 numbers so they create the number and to earn money they need to get lots of calls to it to get the commission.

I have just received my monthly statement from vodafone uk . One item on the statement was incorrect . It says I made a 7 hour 4 minute call to 07053594719 I do not know this number and did not make the call .
I was billed £ 239.98 for this . Which I have disputed with vodafone . They say I made this call. I did not.
Can anyone help me ?

I just have been scammed with people from 07053 500 912

they've been advertise that they are giving away free stuff and when I call one number 07946832422 he said he is on job and to have to call his brother on 07053 500 912...

but when I get answered from his brother he said just a sec I have a second line...then after a some time I realised I've been scammed.

i called a guy about a job and he said he was busy and gave me his collegues number which started with 07053.was i part of a scam???

And realised that I got charge £43.

I was responding to an advert about a property for rent in Stratford east london called a normal mobile number and was told the man who owned the property was in a meeting could I call him back on 07053500611 to speak to a man called rajesh he advertises over 40 properties in london which obviously dont exist imagine my shock when o2cut my phone off as I had gone over £120 over my bill people beware of this man and his advertiser who is on 07572588423 who gives you rajesh number I wasnt even aware of 070 numbers were 50p a min rajesh also gets you to call his so called brother raph please be very aware if you're looking for properties on the internet of this man.

Received an e-mail regarding a job position asking me to call 0705300579 but goes through to an automated holding service. VERY SUSPICIOUS

Received similar unsolicited email as described in 13 Feb 13 entry by user HT (email from markphillips941@yahoo.com) below.

Checked the internet email header and used 'who is' to trace the transition of the email, which came from a Three Mobile Phone Platform currently using 92.40.254.236.threembb.co.uk [92.40.254.236].

So, sent a, abuse email to the host abuse@three.co.uk, even though the user is sending via a yahoo account.

Did not bother to telephone the number 07053522830 due to the history on this fine commercial users web page !

Just had one of those emails myself, but since I'm searching for a job, I don't know of the genuineness of it.
Is this a scam, then? O_o
