First of all when these people try to contact you, they will call and leave a reference number, This is the first sign of knowing it's a collector as I call them,

Step 1) Answer the call all in a professional manner.

Step 2) The Caller will then ask to verify your details.

Step 3) I have found its best to just give them a  different birth date as they can not proceed.

Step4) As politely for them to remove your contact number.

And just simply rinse and repeat. You have to understand these company's are very basic to set up and they will buy your previous debt for milk money.

If you are looking for some sought of support there are people you can speak to. You can try lifeline and St vinnys. Tell these people you are in Finical hardship and you need assistance, It most cases they will right a letter of hardship to these company's to lay off for a while.

So from what you say, can they even issue an order to arrest you so that you will be jailed?

These people should never be answered.  They harassed me for 6 months for absolutely no reason...Another ratbag debt collection agency that in my opinion are far worse than anyone that they are chasing.  They had the wrong person but never ever believed me.  Shocking company

Collection House purchase debt from banks and other companies and then find the people who owe the money and establish payment terms.  Jones King is a subsidiary of Collection House, the legal department who can issue you with court orders, etc. depending on how much is owed.

At the end of the day its YOUR debt and you are responsibly for paying it and they will not give up.

they use immoral/illegal  tactics including but not limited to; lying, impersonate officer of the courts, intimidation, harassment, consistant breaches of the Act (privacy and credit providers) and many other immoral, unprofessional and unproductive tactics.


FYI folks. the Act clearly states that they may only 'contact' 4 times per week. a contact is satisfied by your answering your phone or them leaving a VM. it could also be argued that any service that answers a missed call and provides this info to you that this is also a contact.. just saying is all.. quote the relevant act acutely in a relevant situation and watch them back off like most bullies do when confronted..

good luck delinquents and those caught up from someone else's bad choices..

6 years they have get you to admit the debt if you hold out and deny deny deny and they will eventually go away.. or stop calling at any rate. if the debt owes enough they may pursue it but keep in mind EVERYTHING has a cost and that's true for them too.. lawyers, court documents etc etc can make it financially unviable to pursue.

its the ONLY reason you don't antagonize them .. just treat them like the fleas they are and scratch them off then ignore..

Received a phone call from them looking for someone I barely know, who I met a month ago being a friend of a friend who I work with? Fairly rude, wouldn't tell me who they were besides "Michael" or how they got my number. I can only assume they got my number off Facebook, My number of Facebook is not viewable to anyone, but the information is on the site? Are they allowed to harass people to contact to another, when you have no connection to them? I passed on the message to the person with the advice of not calling back, and after googling the number I'm unhappy I even did that. If I get more calls from this number I am going to be one grumpy chick!
