I keep getting messages from this number but it's all numbers and letters - no actual txt. Got quite a few yesterday and today.

It's not SPAM guys.  It's a message from Apple.  It's related to an imessage issue. Go to imessage settings and see if it says awaiting activation.  I get the message we are all talking about as soon as I turn off I message and back on again.

I had the same problem and changed the settings on my imessages to "off" and added the number to blocked contacts. I had about 4/5 texts with similar stuff, all a load of codes not sure if I will be charged for them, I will call o2 to ensure that I am not charged.

Somehow i sent 56 SMS to this number.  but i didn't,  It hurts...

i lost my phone on sunday 7th September around 11 oclock at night the last number showing on my bill was this number how sent it and if I could have my phone back that would be great

Vodafone records a text sent from my phone to the above number on September 8 2014 at 16.20  New Zealand time for 31 cents. My phone does not record having sent a text on the above date and time.

Having read all the above I have switched off iMessage and FaceTime and blocked the 0044 number

Just checked my phone usage and 2 texts to 07786205094 are on the list. Don't recognise this number and certainly haven't sent any texts to it!

I was billed for "sending" 16 text messages to 00447786205094 over a period of ten days while in Spain. I certainly did not send these.  I rang my Providor. -  3.ie. -  to be told the messages were sent from my symcard.  My phone was never out of my possession. However, the agent to whom I spoke did not alert me to the fact that lots of phone owners have been having the same problem.  Has anybody worked out how to put a stop to this?
