Had a message purporting to be from BT asking me about a recent fault on my telephone. It then states that it is going to ask one of three questions to mark the quality of the service. Each question will require a text......

I have had no problem with BT and when I did they contacted me via a freephone 0800 number. I am pretty confident that this is a scam in order to get you to pay for three very expensive text messages.

I will report the number to BT as I am sure they will want to know that someone is carrying out a scam using their name.

Yep, still happening .... +447800003903  - I wonder whether the claimed BT Agent, David Rogers, actually exists - if so, david.rogers@bt.com should help ...

I have just received 2 x text message and expect to receive another 2 saying i had reported a fault with my BT line, funnily enough I don't have a Bt Phone line. The Agents name is Mark Currid. I nearly replied but decided to google the number first. Thank goodness i did. How do we report this?

I'm not the only one to report this.  Similarly I've received 2 text messages and the promise of 2 more.  There's no way BT could have my mobile number.  I give it to nobody in connection with work (where we have BT services) and we do not have BT services at home.

This scam is ongoing. Just received an sms from "Claire". No surname or company name provided.

Just received a call from an overseas call centre advising me that my PC is about to crash and I should open my PC and follow their instructions nee was needless to say I declined.

I then received am text message from BT Business Repair asking how I rated Darren service.....well first of all it was a lady who called me unless Darren was wearing very tight clothing.

Just received 2 text messages thanking me for contacting BT Business Repair and asking me to give feedback about my experience.  Q1 text received.

I just some texts from these people - but would never call out BT for repairs as we've got Virgin...scam written all over it!

I have been in communication with BT, Chairman & CEO Business Complaints Specialist department, and can confirm that the number is a genuine BT number

I have been charged by orange for four text messages sent to this number from my mobile phone. I did not send these texts

Recd a scam text today 8/5/2019 wanting me to text "500" on return text or go to bt.com/going abroad
Reported to BT as phishing
