missed call from this number and when I call back it says the number I am calling is not recognised..

Recieved a text saying anwser machine message left, missed call recorded number withheld

Random 10 second call - rang off.

Just got this call - it rang off before I could answer. No message left. The other responses for this number date back to 2008. Looks like they are active again.

I had 4 calls from this number yesterday, missed each one. It's usually only once a month that they call but its becoming a bit of a pest.

Had a call from this number. They claimed to be from O2, I asked a few leading questions and the chap on the line was a little evasive, but assured me he was employed directly by O2. Basically wanted to know about my companies landline providers and said he was calling to limit the amount of advertising and marketing being sent to me (even though I don't get any anyway!). Pretty sure this is just the usual cold calling nonsense, rather than anything malicious.

This is the number used by some companies on the voicemail ringback notification option. If you have set your phone to notify you by ringback for voicemail, this number will be displayed as the calling number.

I was expecting a call from a company, this rang and I missed it. I tried calling back (thinking it was the anticipated call) and it went dead.  Somehow I was charged over £2 for the few seconds it connected.  Avoid
