i got a phone call from this number about a job interview with www.dominionacquisitions.co.uk/ and ive done a bit of research and its a scam.  door to door selling and commision only job even though they say you get a basic.  was supposed to go for an interview tomorrow but not now. ive had similar situations with companys such as absolute ltd or as they are now know j30ltd. but since i last looked they probs changed there name again.  its annoying as i try really hard to find a new job but only seem to get replys from places like this.  FML

Yet ANOTHER scam company, La Dominion Acquisitions. Which is the same as Dominion Acquisitions, just with a sexy french La at the beginning.

Don't waste your money and time going to these sorts of things. They will see you for an interview, which you will ALWAYS do well enough to get a second interview. The second interview will consist of you paying for your own travel to an area around London, where they will let you go door-to-door, selling products for their customers. (usually big sounding names like Lovefilm, etc). You will spend a whole day working for them, which at the end of it you WILL NOT see any money for your work or reimbursement for travel expense.

What was funny about this particular bunch of crooks, was that I emailed back to their admin email address suggesting that they stopped their silly games and maybe perhaps they fist one another using sand riddle vaseline. 2 minutes later I get a phone call from their 'Managing Director', an indian lady calling from a private number, who says that I must apologise to their member of staff for making her cry, or they were going to call the police.

My advice to anyone who has received their email asking them to come in for their interview, is to confirm the date/time and then not show up. If they ring to say, "o, where are you?", be like "just coming into town, be there in 5 minutes", then hopefully this will mess up their little revolving door system of applicants enough to make their lives a lil bit worse.

i got a call from la dominion aquisitions from the above number and they have called me in a for an interview saying that my CV was shortlisted. they said they will be really excited to see me and i have an interview with the managing director. i am not sure if i should go or not after what ive read about this company. i need some serious advice people!!.

I have had the same call regarding my CV being 'shortlisted' and have an interview on the way.

I don't know if the whole scam thing is true, I haven't been there yet, but I highly believe it is.

The website is awful, they're meant to be marketing experts, and the site is just full of empty words like 'innovate'. They know they are flogging rubbish jobs so just covering them with business terms.

So glad I read up about them and did not email them back.

The email was from someone named 'Amie' who is the supposed Business Administrator. How exactly do they scam people??

I received the same phone call. I didn't answer. And I applied just yesterday (and honestly, I'm not even qualified enough for selling movies and games.) that's is very suspicious. Thank god I saw this website first!!

Yup I also had an interview, they told me it was urgent and they are very pressed for time, but I was away for two weeks, and somehow it wasnt so urgent anymore and told me contact them once I was back. Whilst I was still away I received two more emails from them telling me I was shortlisted for other roles with them...this was all a bit suspect as Im really not qualified for this, so googled it and voila...  definitely not calling them back now..

Something that got me thinking is that if they saw my cv and phoned me to come in for an interview why would they want me to bring a hard copy of my CV? Strange. Keep away.

I think you are right, I had the same caller and have an interview tomorrow. Warning bells as i researched them... I think i'll stay clear from them.

I did a little more research and have found out the La Dominion Acquisitions, or previously known as just Dominion Acquisitions or Blue Moon Direct (I am sure they have more names) are a scam company. If you have received emails from them and they contain the following info:

STEER WELL AWAY FROM THEM!
If you actually went to the interview then call the Action Fraud Line to help put a stop to these people.

I also have received an e-mail from La Dominion after attending an interview at Alpha House 21 Risborough Street London SE1 0GH. The place was small, no company logo and the manager who interviewed me did not dress the part at all and sounded like he was having a go at someone over the phone while I was waiting. His office was no bigger than my bedroom and had virtually nothing inside it. I have been asked to attend a second interview tomorrow but after these comments I am considering giving it a miss.

Any advice guys?

Definitely give it a miss Pete. Don't bother wasting time and money on these people. Enjoy the summer holiday while it lasts! :D

A bit fishy, as I have no experience or qualifications as I'm still a student at University! I was so shocked that that they have actually accepted me.
Their website is so crap, this smells a bit fishy.
So glad I read everyone's comments and convinced to cancel my interview.

I had an interview and the whole thing looked suspicious. No company name/logo, no tidiness, the manager was a Russian woman, who could barely speak English, she explained what roles they have in th company but not what they actually do. She didn't explain what my job would be, what I would do, and she kept going on about the time for the trial day, like she kept saying 'from 11 to 17 we do this...'. But she didn't explain anything about the actual job or anything.

It's a scam.

Wow I was supposed to go for an interview tomorrow but I won't!  Exactly the same story as you!!! And, I tried to call them back on the 3 numbers they sent me but it never went through!  Thanks guys!!!!!

I just got a call from these guys. So glad I decided to do my research and found this website. The Amie person sounded a bit too keen when I said I could start Monday. It's not right to make people go all the way to an interview to find out its a scam. They should be reported!

Hi Guys.

I went for the shortest interview today and then got call before the suggested time for an second interview slash day out with a team member. I ask the MD If he was American and he told me he is not but I'm not dumb, I can tell an American accent to a British accent.

Got this email now. I won't be going to this so called second interview
