The lowell group-These people keep calling and asking for me to confirm my address. When I told them I would not give personal details to a complete stanger when I don't know what it is about and they won't tell me they asked for my date of birth!  Yea right I said do you want my bank details too.
I think not, I said no chance and I hung up.

This is indeed Lowell group. As if im giving them my date of birth and address, surely they would know that.... when you ask them for their particulars they ring off very quickly.

We know that your so called threats don't mean anything as the debt you chase have been written off by the banks/ credit cards so they don't give a toss!!

We know you brought these debts for very cheap, hence you writing letters "offering" discounts!!

We know that 90% of the debts you chase are "statued barred" i.e. more than six years old with no payment or acknowledgement made so you have no ground to chase these debts!!

This is not the 80's, people can find info about you and their rights when dealing with you via Google.

Four years ago lowells started chashing me for my ex partners depts and there still rining me today any suggestions about these [***] ....

Lowells - notorious and shady debt collection agency you should on no account speak to by telephone, and if they call you, hang up.

If you have a call blocker or a call filtering system (Truecall's a good one), then make sure these numbers are entered, and then they'll never get through to you.

Also, this company is notoriously bad at dealing with general enquiries or complaints, so if you have such a complaint you do need to discuss with them, do it by email, and do it from a free hotmail account (NO WAY should you use your normal everyday email address).

If you have to send them an email, then make sure every one of the addresses on the list below is copied in - they'll be much more inclined to pick your enquiry up and deal with it properly, especially if you don't buy their excuses, fob-offs and attempts to ignore your enquiry (all of which they will try to do, if there's no money in it for them!).

Please note that these email addresses have been included SOLELY to help you reach them at your own convenience and on your own terms and not theirs - they are NOT here to be abused, ie. signed up to religious sites, porn sites, book sites, ad sites, spam, etc.

Plus, it really irritates them when they get more emails to trawl through than they need to - so that's a plus in itself.
