My service provider says I sent a text to this number but I have not sent any texts. When I phone the number it has a tone similar to a fax machine. What number is it?

I've been charged for sending 19 SMS while in Italy ( I'm a 3 costumer) to this number 07860015006 and other similar but with different ending: from 0 to 9. I din't send any text message and I would like to know what this is about.

I'm on Giffgaff and when I sent a free text to my son (also on Giffgaff) I was charged for the text. They looked into it and told me that the text had been sent to 07860015006.....is this some kind of virus? We are all on iPhones.

I had the same experience.  I have 2 similar numbers where bill states I sent a text but I didn't.  Only difference in the 2 numbers is one ended in a "6" and the other in an "8".  I am using O2.

I am with GiffGaff and I was charged for a Roaming Text to this number as well as to 07860 015 003. I informed GiffGaff and they said that the only way these charges would generate is if they have been sent from my handset physically and that perhaps someone has gotten hold of my phone and texted these numbers without my knowledge then deleted them from my phone. This is definitely not the case so I do not understand how I have been charged for texts to these numbers. If anyone can shed some light as to what these numbers are and how I have been charged for texting them (without my knowledge or consent) it would be greatly appreciated.

Same here: an sms was sent to 447860015*** from my ITALIAN number, from a phone which was in a empty house (!!!). Quite puzzled.

Same here. Been charged daily for SMS texts to +07860015*** (my service provider doesn’t show the last 3 digits on their itemised bills). I like all of the above have never sent any SMS texts to this number from my Italian sim or any other SMS texts for that matter.
It appears it’s some kind of fault in the Italian network when perhaps a UK registered handset has a Italian Sim card put inside it?!
