I keep getting a text saying it's from uber taxi and if I haven't ordered it to text stop to 07903561836, I get it a couple of times a day every day what is it ?

Keep getting texts from a number pretending to be Uber and it tells me to text this number to stop the texts. Pure spam

i also keep getting texts from this number pretending to be Uber- it keeps sending a code for me to use or asking me to text STOP. Definitely a scam i advise against texting back or using any links

Definitely an Uber scam.

I do too, I get them about twice a day.  Just delete them.

9 texts from this number so far today claiming to be from uber ... they give an uber cose and request you text stop to this number if it wasnt requested by you. Scam ... trying to get access to your uber account

I thought it was a scam, however I just contacted Uber as I was getting so many. They've replied saying;

"We're sorry to hear about any alarm this may have caused. It appears that your account may have been accessed illegitimately using your login credentials.

As a security precaution, we have changed your account password. If you haven't done so already, please create a strong and unique password when you reset your password.

You can update your Uber account password by following this link:

https://auth.uber.com/login/forgot-password

Additionally, we recommend changing your email address on your Uber account as an extra security precaution. This is also a good time to ensure you are using different email and password combinations across your accounts to prevent unauthorised access.

We want you to know that we absolutely take situations like this seriously. Please know that your payment information is not stored on your Uber account. They are protected as we only hold the last 4 digits of your card on our application."

I went to reset my password and they text you a four digit code for you to enter, the text that came through was the exact same as the one that I thought was a scam before. Might be worth changing your password.

It appears that the number might be legit Uber. As I contacted support as well and they told me that it was fine, but as a safety precaution they've reset my password and asked me to change my email address as well. I suppose that someone got hold of a database of login credentials and were trying to access our accounts hoping that we wouldn't have 2 factor authentication activated. That's my theory at least.

I get these texts all the time saying to stop then text the mobile number. If it was Uber they surely wouldn’t get you to reply to a mobile number? I went into the Uber app and deleted my payment details out of there anyway. I’ll also change password as Sophia mentioned above

This number is being used by low life criminal scum. It is a scam premium rate number. Block this number. Do not reply to it.
