Text from EE about my Virgin Mobile service, requesting me to re-start my 'phone to update the settings. Appears genuine.

2 texts claiming to be from Royal Mail, and telling me that my parcel from Marks and Spencer would be delivered tomorrow. Gave two different track and trace links. Messages were sent to my old phone,and I haven't ordered anything. Suspicious.

This number keeps sending me messages from Home Manager just after a boiler man has been sent out from Absolute Heating. I had them out, via insurance, 8 times recently and the messages are not sent by the company mentioned or the insurance company and are inappropriate as they say things like The engineer is at your door (when he has left) or your appointment has been booked for xxx (when is has not) or your job is now complete (after the man leaves, job not done). These are not malicious but I would like to know who sends them. When I asked the boiler company they said to ignore them so I just took notice of emails and phone calls directly from them. Now the problem is fixed, I do not expect more texts. I was surprised that the same number is used for other things, as stated here.

When I checked the details of the text, I saw the number 07958879850. Googled it and found this page, listing all the other scams sent from the same number. If I had not found this page, I would have rung Hastings and given them the policy number, and they would have confirmed it's attempted fraud.
