Claim to be the fraud dept at Barclay Card Commercial??

They called me too - suspicious as I don't have a Barclaycard.....

Just received a call from this number and the caller who claimed to be from Barclaycard asked for a Mrs. when it's actually a Mr on the card.

The woman wouldn't leave her name. Seems dodgy to me.

got the same call, I was called by B Card it turns out so the number is ok.
Good practice NOT to call the number given, but call your c/card company direct using a number sourced yourself.

Rang alarm bells with me after I had spoken to them, so I called the number on my card to verify, and it is indeed Barclaycard Commercial Fraud Dept.  

Incidentally, the second women I spoke to said that Barclays will never ask for the card number or the 3-digit security code on the back, so never give these out to anyone, however convincing they sound.

My son works for the fraud department at Barclaycard and I phoned him after these people called me, he checked and they are fake

I have a work Barclay Card and this number is legitimate for the Barclay Card Fraud Department.  I've had to phone it on several ocassions.

Again a call ref Barclay fraud the phone approach seemed strange and they have calkle dnow on two separate occasions.  i have just out the phone doen on them both times!

I called my usual Barclaycard number and they confirmed that Fraud department had been trying to contact me.

I had the same call and called the number on the back of my Card - they confirmed security and passed me to their Fraud team... I agree do not ring the number given only the number on your card; you can never be too careful.

Got  a similar message today and was suspicious as the number they left was missing a o between the 159's but after contacting Barclaycard they confirmed the number is the fraud departments direct line number and apologised for the problem.  I agree if in doubt use the number on your card the web site and they will always  let you know if it is genuine!

Someone had cloned my company credit card and been internet shopping to the tune of £6,000+ - so rather glad they did spot it and stop it.

They are genuine - an attempted purchase in Russia was blocked today and this number called me and told me the details of the transaction and I checked online whilst talking to them. I rang the number on my card and confirmed as genuine.

I received a voicemail asking me to call this number. I rang Barclaycard commercial on a different number and they said this was not from them.

Having said the above, this page: http://www.barclays.co.uk/telephone-number-checker says it's genuine.

I received a call from this number saying they wanted to speak to me about activity on my business Barcklay card.
They wouldn't give there name but I said i would hand up and call back Barclay card (using a number that i know goes though to Barcklay card) NEVER USE A NUMBER GIVEN TO YOU OVER THER PHONE AS THAT COULD BE FAKE AS WELL. It all turned out to be genuine BUT I'd never give out my info to some one who has called me. If it is important and genuine theynyou should always be able to call them back on a number that you know is safe and speak to some one as they will have a record of it all.

The number is legitimate 'Barclay Card Fraud Team' They called me, I insisted on calling them back on the number on the reverse of my card and it was confirmed

I have just had a voicemail with no caller ID asking me to call this number back. Instead I rang Barclaycard.  They have just told me in no uncertain terms that they have no record and no reason to ring me today.  That whoever is calling me is suspicious and I should not bring anyone back.
