Have received numerous calls from this number, many times I ignored it. Then I answered it quite a lot of times and on EVERY occasion there is no one there, the call just goes dead!

It is American Express debt collection service, or so they allege!

It is an asian call centre acting on behalf of amex. They do not understand any questions placed to them. Can not give a land line number in order to call from a mobile, do not understand the term recorded delivery. They do not understand why you will not give security answers to on an anonomous call, but we are American Express, No you could be anybody....please give me a UK landline number, we do not have any and so on.......I have in fact had an offer of monthly payment from amex Brighton, which I have accepted by recorded delivery almost two weeks ago. To date I have had no details back from them of how to pay? Yet these robots keep calling! Well done Amex first class!

Yes, they claim to be American Express, but a call centre in Mumbai.  I have agreed a repayment plan with them but every month there is a problem with my payments, although I am doing what I've been asked.  They tell me to forward info to Brighton, but get no responses, even recorded delivery goes unacknowledged.  They ring me constantly and go over the same details time and time again but they still get it wrong.  Complete nightmare to deal with but I pay them what I've agreed, online so have records, and just try to ignore them.  For a company like American Express to operate through a tinpot outfit like this is beyond belief.

this is a fraudulent no... Amex no at the back of my card has no knowledge of who these fraudster are. The people who have paid them will not be paying off their balance but giving their money to a bunch of theives. Dear people this is the world we live in now, you just do not pay your hard earned money to anyone who calls and says he is the pope on the line.

I just called them to ascertain who they were.   They say they are American Express .  They had left a message on my mobile but said it was a message for a person that is not me.  I called and they were very non committal.
