We have had three calls now claiming to be from someone we have never heard of - something like RM Lockyer only the standard of English is so bad that it's almost incomprehensible.  The last one almost pleaded with us to call back.  Not only was it someone that we had not heard of but they did not ask for us by name.  I see from Googling the number that it belongs to a company billed as Pounds till Payday, which sounds like a loan shark to me.

I had a call from an illegible voice and very fast stating to call 08000327655 saying they were from John Gutteridge and to call them back

We had a call asking (a non-existent) Karen Griffiths to phone back on this number.  I had to play it back several times before I could understand what was being said.

We have had 2 calls, one today, one yesterday.  We were out, so they left messages on our answer machine asking for a call them back.  They asked for someone called Elsa (there is no-one by this name at this number), in a very bad English accent.  I haven't called them back, as I was concerned by my caller ID saying INTERNATIONAL and didn't want to call back with high call charges. I do not know who this is, and would like them to stop calling

had a strange call yesterday asking for a miss T Kali to call back James from Pay T P again as previous noters have described the english was not clear. Anyway the number did not work.

please please help me.  I rang to get a short term loan til pay day, the person on the end of the phone was mumbling quietly but he did get my full name and national insuance number.  Can you please help me!!!

They rang me regarding a query about the pay day loan that I had applied for.

Correct. They also trade as Swift Sterling in the UK at least.
