Got a number of calls, emails and texts from this number. I've had an overdue payment with O2 in the past and all I ever received was an email telling me that I could pay online or call them - the email I received recently wasn't in this format. Furthermore, when I looked into it on MyO2 I didn't have any outstanding payments stated there. All I would say is be cautious. Do your research before calling and giving your bank details to anyone. This number is clearly a scam. Be vary weary of it.

Firstly it was an email correctly addressed to me in the Cc box asking for £45 now a text asking for the same. I closed my O2 account over a month ago and they have sent me as credit to close off the account. I've reported them to phishing @o2.com. They say they've now stopped my data and my outgoing calls will be diverted to their payment number, this of course can't be and isn't the case as I no longer have an account with them.

Embarrassed, forget the last post. It is a genuine number. O2's phishing team confirm it and a call to O2 customer services confirmed that I did still owe them £45 for finishing my contract 3 months early and I have now paid them. They had paid me £57 for my old phone and refunded me £19 for the 'call' side of the contract, so naturally I thought that was it.
Have to say I think their approach is very unprofessional and could have been carried out in a much better way. At the very least they should have stated what the debt was for, which of course I told them

yup have to agree its genuine I have been with o2 ten years and have had a late payment when changed phone and different start date for contract I knew the exact amount and so did the voicemail in pounds and pennies  genuine just don't like the giving card details over phone im direct debit but went on to my 02 and paid via card that way always safer.

I have been getting letters st my address for some else. I opened it one today from 02. I called the 0800 number to let them know this person does not live at this address. They answered write " hello this is child line.. I aplogised for getting the wrong number. When I checked, I had dialled the above number. I'm wondering what the got out of that.

I have had numerous calls today from this number, I contacted 02 asking them if this number was genuine. The guy gave me a list of all the numbers 02 use and this wasn't one of them. He said he thought it was a scam

They asked me my name.  The woman was so quiet I cudnt hear a word she was saying.  Yes its a scam numbe . After I said to the woman I cudnt hear her she hung up on me.

0800 111 6121.... It's a scam I have had non stop phone calls and texts all day regarding a late payment my bill was paid last week so I spoke to an o2 guru who Streight away says this is not an o2 number and said too block the number and report it to the o2 fraud department

I just had to call this number it's been calling and texting all day I called o2 they Streight away confirmed it's a fraud so I just called that 0800 111 6121 from my old phone and it says welcome to the o2 payment line but you can tell so much that it is not o2 so I'm reporting it to the fraud department tomorrow when they open :)

Had them call today, and made the payment, then got worried after seeing all these comments but checked my o2 app and now says my bill is paid, and i was genuinely over due on my bill which i knew i was so i can confirm this is not a scam

It's automated o2 for payments, no scam, but they do still call sometimes after I've paid coz there payments don't update till 24 hours after

Guys they are phishers who are pretending to be o2

I didn't even answer this after checking on here first. Not the first time ive been told my O2 bill is overdue when I pay by DD every month. Blocked

This is 02 in my case it was to repeat my bill was overdue, but that I had 4 days to pay it before a £12 late charge would be added to my bill;  I didn't recognise the number as O2 and as it was a Sunday afternoon and I was paying tomorrow, within the 4 days, I didn't ring them back, once I established from this site who they were.
