I had a call from this number last night whilst buying on line offering me a code to continue my purchase, I cancelled my purchase and phoned my bank first thing this morning. It was genuine it was the fraud squad from Nat West they were checking it was me making the purchase, They said they do this at times randomly it prevents fraud, as if it wasn't me then the fraudster couldn't carryi on with the transaction without the code, I cancelled it as it spooked me, but they had stopped my card, once I spoke to them I could carry on as normal which I did and brought my goods this morning. But I'm glad I checked it with the bank. If in doubt do the same. By the way it's a recorded message you get on the phone saying who they are. Hope this helps.
