This was a genuine call from RBS/VISA with a one-time secure access code for an online banking transaction using my debit card

This is not a genuine call - fraudsters trying to get your card details - suggest jennywren should get visit from fraud team

Shouldn’t imagine this was genuine as called at 10.32pm and didn’t attempt to get through call block or leave message.

It is indeed genuine, but you should only receive the call if you have requested it.

I received it because I used a new NatWest card on a supermarket website and it needed to verify it was me using it. I opted for the landline and it was a recorded message giving me a 6-digit code, for me to input on the retailer's website, which then allowed the transaction to go through.

If the calls are coming through without your request, then it is possible someone else is trying to use your card, but the number itself is genuine.

had automated call asking for 16 digit debit card numbers from this number . rang natwest and was told it is a scam number.

Scam.  Rang us 3 times today at 00.20. Not happy

This caller phoned my house phone at midnight - totally out of order! Woke the whole house up and no one at the other end when I got out of bed to answer.

Keeps calling saying it is NatWest secure with a one time password

Phoned my home at 9.45pm and no one at the other end of phone.

Buying items from a supermarket using natwest debit card. Authorisation took a long time and finally came through  stating a code number had been left on my landline. I was suspicious therefore rang the number. Automated voice asking for the 16 digit number on my card. Of course I hung up. Contacted Natwest who confirmed that it was a scam.
