I have just had a call from this number on My cell phone too. Does anyone know why and who they are?

It is Virgin Media trying to sell you an upgrade.

This number has been ringing me quite frequently, not only is it frustrating but extremely distracting whilst I am driving. How can this be avoided?

Keep getting calls from this number but no answer when I do pick up. Very annoying!!!

Virgin Media/Mobile - trying to sell an upgrade. Have been Virgin Media customers for a while and Virgin Mobile. I recently upgraded to a 4G sim package so they clearly don't have accurate records. Also somehow called me on my work number

Very persistant up to twice a day weekly  lives a voice call message no answer when you ring back just clicking noises

I have been receiving calls from this number. 08001836408. Being very ill, it causes me unnecessary pain and distress. I wish these sales calls are made unlawful. Can the regulatory authorities intervene? I now sadly recall how my mother, who has passed away, complained bitterly about nuisance calls, which drove her to ultimate dementia and death.Hope the executives are made answerable.

Will not take no for an answer calling 3 times a day every day take note virgin media stop it

I just told them they were ringing the wrong number and acted stupid. So far so good.

I put the app    Hinky    on my mobile phone. you can input their number and it blocks it.
You just get a ding to let you know.

Virgin Media, Asian Lady, who when I asked why she was calling me all she kept saying is Virgin Media and when I asked her again why she was ringing me she cut me off! Obviously trying to sell me something!

3 calls today from "virgin media" trying to sell me stuff I don't want! Could hardly understand the caller. Rang mobile not virgin landline! A bit suspect doing that. Blocked it after the third call.

It's a scam - it's not Virgin Media at all, I've confirmed it with them.  Don't blame Virgin - they never call like this unless you have a legitimate account and you have raised a query.
Block the call or if you do take it, tell them you know it's a scam and immediately hang up.

Scam call pretending to be Virgin Media - trying to get you to agree to their "expert engineer" visiting every room in your house.......block them and report them!  I have confirmed this with Virgin as we're legitimate account holders, they are trying to make older and more vulnerable people aware of this scam.

I received a call from 08001836408 to my mobile phone which is not registered to Virgin Media but I gave them the number when I had problems with my landline which is registered with them.

On 17/8/2017 I telephoned Virgin Media on 03456000789 to find out if the number calling my mobile was a scam.
I was informed that it is Virgin Media, no doubt trying to get me to take out a contract with them for my mobile.

Whilst I was on the line with them, I asked them to get the calls stopped, so hopefully I will not be getting any more calls from their marketing team.

Just to recap on my message about nuisance calls from Virgin Media, the 03456000789 number is off their official website so anyone can check it before calling them.

Have had three calls in last 2 days so I blocked the number.  I did but they now left a message on my phone saying they were from Virgin Media but didn't say anything else. I will continue to ignore them. they have my email if they really need to get in touch.
