It's  British Telecom Automated telephone number where customer can pay and maintain there BT account. Its basically for cust self help

Who are these people is it genuine ?

Yes its for payment  for bt customers mostly for late payments

Not real, I checked with BT by phoning their real contact number on their website and was told it was a scam, not to give any details or call the 0800 number and to report it to their phishing department by email

Claiming to be bt and wanting direct debit payments

that is not true it is a scam

I got a letter telling me my BT direct debit had been cancelled and to phone this number.  My name was wrong and the account number too, so I suspected it was a scam.  Glad I didn't call them and possibly give them any sensitive information.

I received a similar letter which had the correct name and customer number. I checked with BT and they had sent the letter so it was not a scam.

Have received a letter today stating " Please pay bill now". I have not had a BT account for over five years, so therefore take it as a scam

Yep,same here. I still have paper bills so I rang the number on the bill and they advised me that I was still set up with BT and that my direct debits had not been cancelled. So in my opinion this may be a scam :-)

I keep getting voicemails from BT (that's who they say they are), however my phone never rings or has missed calls, it automatically comes through as a voicemail. What is this and does anyone have similar??

This is genuine number, it is the one to pay your bills by card over the phone. It has been this number for years

Got a by letter from who knows? Phoned the B T letter contact on this number about my dead dads account which I paid off over a year ago. Call centre claiming to be by scam on phone. Why can't by stop this ? And I can not get in touch with by useless company scammers paridice

Had this number call numerous times now, sometimes it's automated, sometimes it's an operator with a foreign accent. They've claimed to be BT, Talk Talk, & Microsoft so far. And they've even followed up threats to disconnect us with attempted D-dossing. Plainly a phishing scam, & a malicious one at that.

Scratch that, those calls weren't from that number at all. 0800 44 33 11 is indeed a BT automated payment line.

This is not BT! It is a scam number! if you call BT and tell them the time the message or email was sent they will verify it wasn't them! Call 150 from your landline or 0800 800 150! Repeat do not give them scammers your personal data !!!!!
