- Caller: o2
- LJI just had a call from this number, no idea who it actually was, but when I first answered it was dead silent. I was about to hang up, and I got an asian males voice, which was promptly cut off and a scottish woman began talking asking for 'Madeline' I advised her that she had the wrong number and she said 'That is perfectly ok' as though I was the one who had dialed the wrong number. Strange. There was no mention of it being from O2 though.
- THE ANSWER FINALLY!called them back and spoke to a nice Scottish lady.
She said it is basically an automatic dialler from o2 when you owe money!!!!!!!
Luckily I paid my bill yesterday so its all cool now. She did say however that the automatic dialler might carry on calling me till my next bill, but just to ignore it :/
hope this helps!
n x- Caller: O2
- o2.wooYes it's o2.
This is the outbound collections team, so if you have not paid a bill, that is why they are calling you. Or, if you have paid a bill very recently, i.e. in the last 24 hours online, over the phone etc then their system has not picked it up + is a cross over call - CMAC| 2 repliesgot a call from them today. they said they were O2 and tried to find out my security code and asked to talk about my account. didn't trust them so hung up. called O2 and they had no record of that number being an O2 Number. THINK IT IS A SCAMMER!!!!
- TobyIt's O2, they called me about my account which I am in arrears with. NOT SCAMMERS!!!!!!
- Caller: O2
- aDefinately o2 just called them back on the same number and lifted a calling bar.
If it was a scammer they would not be able to do that.- Caller: o2
- GYM MANNot with 02 and get funny calls from these people!stay well away scammers
- Caller: ????
- Dave1983This is 02! NOT SCAMMERS as suggested. I have just answered and paid my bill, Bar has been lifted, again this is a legit number. Just answer and pay your debt!
- Caller: 02

- Caller: 08005884213
- Call type: Debt collector
- JakeThis is O2, but who knows what they want as I've never dealt with them ever, and they mostly seem to leave me messages to ring them back. I've told them they have the wrong number but it doesn't help.
Thankfully I have caller id, and I've set my (panasonic) phone to night mode, so I can block idiots like this. There's also a flaw in their phone system - When you answer the phone a computer is checking for a beep - if there is one then it will play an answer phone message. If you speak (or wait about 30 seconds) then a person will be put through to you. If you don't say anything at all (and ignore the person saying "hello? hello?"), you can just put your phone in a cupboard and the phone will stay connected for ages and O2 will eventually get a massive bill.
Everyone should get caller id, and then we can start giving these idiots the "silent phone call" treatment just like we have to put up with for years.- Caller: O2
