    ask for mrs thompson and which these people who my landlords had moved out the property 5 years ago and i ask this company how they got my number they wouldnt tell me and they said this is there number i said no as it my number not theres so i ask where they got it and hang up very rude and annoying

    rang me about why i havent paid insurance! because i didnt want to set it up in first place but i did too get u off line and then immediately cancel. D&G - r the biggest hound callers i have ever known. register a new appliance and they wont leave u alone.

    Recently purchased a new washing machine, the guarantee runs for 2 years which has only just started and I am fully covered, yet D & G seem to think I should sign up and pay now to extend it!  Told them to come back at the end of the 2 years and I might consider it - if they are lucky.

    Had contracts with D&G, but when my washer broke down, they wouldn't send anyone out to fix it in less than 10 days, so I bought a new one and cancelled all of my D&G contracts. Now they've started pestering by phone to get me back and pay high charges for a crap service. Once you've cancelled, if you're on the Telephone Preference Service, report these calls as nuisance calls - hope they get fined.

    I had a fault on my fridge freezer and when I contacted the they said it would be 8 days before someone could come out to fix it! I cancelled and have been inundated with calls ever since. They are a  complete waste of time when it comes to service, maybe that is why they are so desperate for business they pester you. D&G are a complete waste of time

    My washing machine insurance expires end of September. D&G caller (Thadeus?) tried to harass me into renewing over the 'phone 7th August. Told him I will wait until I receive postal reminder. He became very aggressive, persistently talking over me loudly, ordering me to sort it out now. I thought threatening phone calls were illegal?
    As D&G say all calls are recorded, perhaps his manager should have a listen!

    I had a contract with Domestic & General taken out when a fridge freezer conked out - it should have been cancelled but they overlooked the cancellation and so did I doh. They were MOST helpful - it was a great deal. But this time they left no message.

    Infernal marketing (and those automatic silent) calls from Domestic and General. Having NOT opted in I am requiried by D&G to submit my details in order to OPT OUT of THEIR marketing. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. I called their mandated number 08004584614 and was INSTRUCTED to provide ALL the following information: FULL NAME ( I remained silent ), telephone number ( I keyed that in ) and POST CODE ( I remained silent ). Apparently it'll take 30days to do or not do the deed. Time will tell. All of this is more information than is required to stop their unsolicited telephone calls (viz Data Protection Act et al) that are inflicted on me by the unauthorised stochastic/chaos/automatic dialling that frequently (always?) results in SILENT unwanted calls. Not best pleased D&G. And your insurance quote is so over-the-top that it didn't just make my eyes water but made my blood boil. Have A Nice Day:-|

    Ask the caller to speak to you without reading the card they are reading from, or ask caller if they would buy anything over the phone from a complete stranger. They don't know what to do next and puts the phone down. Have not been called since

    Answered the call to dead space and cannot end the call,....says line in use. Reported to virgin media who say there is a fault in my area that will clear in 6 hours or so! If I find out I have been charged since13.30 there will be hell to pay!

    Glad to know it is D & G.  I haven't been in for these pestering calls.  My policy expires in November and I won't be renewing it.
