This is a complete SCAM. They advertise courses as a qualification and they are not they are just some course people have written and when you go for a job the course stands for nothing at all !!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM and lie about what they are offering here......

I too signed up with a groupon offer with My Distance Learning only to find that the courses they offer are not worth the paper they are written on. I completed the course (Very poor) and started to attend interviews for teaching assistant positions only to find that the course was worthless and stood for nothing. My conclusion was this company and it's courses do not give people what they need to work as a teaching assistant. Very annoyed and disappointed !

I would not recommend this company to anyone as the courses give you no help what so ever.

I also started a course with this company and they vanished. I have since found out that they now trade as Oplex Careers, Vizual Coaching of which I am appalled about. They took my money and ran and now they are claiming to be other colleges to do the same again to other people.

Don't get caught with this scam as the courses are nothing and you will simply lose your money.

Oplex careers is a scam company tricking people into thinking they offer recognised qualifications. The courses they offer are not worth the paper they are written on. The oplex careers reviews is a scam and I would suggest everyone to avoid. Remember cheap courses carry no weight !

Avoid this SCAM!!!!!!!

The info from contributers here is fascinating. Oplex Careers is a scam, My Distance Learning College and the others are/were all the same? I've just bought a course from Oplex Careers as a test. As I am in distance education I was intrigued as to how they could sell courses so cheaply. Here's why: I found chunks of the course were copied from another distance learning company's website. I found I recognised a lot of the information and how it was worded. Why? Because I wrote it. The assessment is not at the study level advertised and apart from some long-winded reading, it would be hard for anyone to learn from the course I purchased.
This crowd seems to copy other people's distance learning materials and website content without understanding what they are copying. Oplex Careers is not authorised to say they offer "qualifications" nor is any other distance learning company that offers bespoke courses and that includes my company. A course that costs £29 reduced from e.g. £229 is cheap but cheap for a very good reason. For goodness sake people, if you want to learn properly and gain professional development that's worthwhile and meaningful, go to a distance learning provider that gives information about their tutors, tutor and management qualifications, who are accredited by a genuine official body and do not say they give you qualifications that will be recognised.  Also, see if the distance learning provider is a centre for a UK awarding body to offer regulated courses. A regulated course is one that has been through the UK government system (called Ofqual).
All of the above is what I do for a living and it makes me furious that unregulated courses and their sellers are free to do as they like and trick people continuously without penalty.

Personally Im shocked to read some of these comments. I have done many a courses with oplex and find their courses to be really insightful. I work in teaching classroom support, ive done courses on special educational needs among others and I think theyre good. Always helpful when i email in, and my supervisor in SEN department at my school appreciates my training.

i contatced them (oplex careers) today to find out if they are also vizual coaching or my distance learning because of this post and they informed me they have nothing to do with them. get your facts right peeps! overall good company so far

Oplex is a scam, be aware!!

I was looking at this before joining them and decided to go ahead because the price was so cheap I had nothing to loose. It turns out I was right. I did the SEN course with them which which certified by CPD Certification service. I check on CPD website and found that they endorse the courses. So the course are certified by CPD. I also called their office to check this and the lady on the phone confirmed that they are in fact registered.

I proceeded to complete my course and got the PDF certificate. I also ordered a printed certificate from them for £10 and this arrive the next working day. I was very impressed by them and my opinion has changed on them. I would recommend to give them a call and find out if they are right for you.

Oplex careers are scam artists, rip off, waste of money and borderline fraudulent company - DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Oplex Careers courses are of out of date and they refuse to provide feedback or rectification when you contact they but surprisingly are quick to respond on reviews to discredit any claims made.

Over the last 6 months before my course expired in March 2018, I have called 7 times and emailed them 3 times but I am yet to receive a response!

Ridiculous - total jobs sent me the email recommending this company we’re offering courses for £14 so I thought what the hell is going on here , Googled it to find IT IS A SCAM -Obviously
