    Got a call on my land line and then mobile phone from 08006226623. No message left. If its really genuine then why do they not leave a message!!!!

    This is definitely a crank call to find out when you are in.  They called today and asked for personal details (suspected they wanted to know when I was going to be --- or rather out) and when I challenged the caller regarding their identification, they said I could check on line to find the number registered to Thames Water... well this number does not come up for water supply or leaks.

    Someone called me from this number saying they were from Thames Water and wanted to check my smart water meter. They wanted me to give my name and address to confirm I was the property owner. I said I didn't think I had a smart water meter as my readings were estimated, then she just said 'thank you have a nice day' and hung up. Seems pretty dodgy?
