constantly calling, getting a bit much!!

Rang me at least once a day at various times for around the last week or so.  Luckily I work so obviously didn't answer.  Beginning to feel harassed...any clues how to stop this?

They made out they were Orange phone company. And gave me a good deal on a new phone but now have my bank details.

This number keeps ringing me around 3ishhhh!
i don't normally awnser but when i do, they hang up,
its really annoying; does anyone know who it is?!

I didn't answer the number, i haven't had it before - i only typed in the number to see which company it belonged to. What is it all about? They literally just ring up and that's it?

They have said they are from Orange and have tried to sell me a phone and stupid me belived them...
now they have my details and i dont know what to do next...

Just had a call from this number but didn't answer as I didn't know the number / wasn't expecting a call. Popped the number into Google and it brought me to this page.

they called me i said hi then they hung up on me i tryed calling them back but it said i would be charged with my normal rate it was weird

Same here, twice daily now, it's so irritating, there's never anyone there when I answer.

they are a marketing business in manchester called LBM don't call them back on 0845 number it wont help and although not alot, it will cost you and they will make money from the call.

Had a call today at 2.57pm didn't answer it as didn't recognise number.
They tried to ring at about the same time one day last week too.

These idiots have called me 3 times today and at least 5 times over the past week. I'm sending a letter to them and cc'ing Ofcom because they are becoming annoying.

This number calls me EVERY AFTERNOON and I'm getting a bit fed up of it!

They call me on my mobile now being a free phone number when they call me they pay for the call not me so must be costing them some money.

This number rang me so I rang them back and they said I was being contacted on behalf of Orange and they were called LBM. Load of rubbish-didn't need to hear anymore so I hung up! Ignore them.

Same number call me at 14:43 - I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number, however this is not the first time they have called.

i used to work in a telesales office in manchester and this is where lbm have a call centre (many of my former colleagues left to work for lbm).
the reason why people get silent calls is that they, like most telesales companies, use a computerised "dialler" that tries to call numerous people at one time so it can connect one potential customer to a telesales agent almost as soon as they have hung up from their previous call.  if it connects more people than it has available agents for then it automatically hangs up.  if there isnt an agent available then there is a pause of a few seconds while it tries to connect the call to one.  hence silence.  after a few seconds it should hang up if there isnt an agent available to connect the call to.  however this could also be due to the call being connected to an agent but they were too busy chatting with a colleague, or something equally important, to turn their mute button off and start talking to the "customer".
i got a call today from "orange the mobile phone company" as the agent introduced himself asking me details like what phone i have at the moment, was it payg or contract, how long i had left on the contract, which company it was with ie vodafone, o2 etc.  i suspected it wasnt orange because they would know that i was on a contract, when it was due to expire and what phone i had and they would have asked for 2 letters out of my account password.  i gave him the answers to his questions because they were not specific to my account or personal details and when he asked what phone i wanted next i said i was waiting for orange to supply the nokia 8gb n95.  he said they would call back when they had it available.  probably won't be for a few months yet but if they do call back, now i know they are lbm and were pretending to be orange, i will tell to remove my number from their dialler records and legally they have to do this

Rings everyday 3pm'ish also 8pm'ish.  They try twice each time and never leave a message.  I never answer.

I answered this today and talked to someone. They said they where from O2. I was asked what network im on. I never told them and said stop calling. DO NOT TELL ANYONE YOUR DETAILS THATS MY ADVICE!
