im getting these random phone calls from this number , have not answered any and dont intend to , does anyone know if these people can be blocked from calling your phone?

A woman said I'd won a free makeover as my friend (whom they referred to by name) had entered me in their prize draw. (I know my friend went to a photo shoot/make over session). Wanted a refundable deposit. Told her I wouldn't give my credit card number to people calling out of the blue. Gave me her details and said she'd send information through as well. Then said I had to give my last name and birth date as appointment had to be booked NOW as her number was an outbound one only (so why did she give me a contact phone number???). Totally dodgy. Told her to forget about it.

Had a call from this number, didn't answer. Have read on here that it's the company Paparazzi - they have called me before from a different number, I changed the name on their number to 'Do not answer'. They must have gotten a new one!

i just had the call and a girl asked if i was mr c???????? and the put the phone down on me i tryed to call back but it went dead after the 1st ring

Just to keep you updated. It's the 13th December now and these rats are still on the go! They used names of people I know in the patter so are some of the more sophisticated scammers out there. Wanted my husband's bank details and all that but were not overly impressed when I told them that he was a policeman (which he's not!).

Paparazzi is the trading name of Studio London Limited who are "In Administration". They owe more money than can access. This could mean their phones will automatically go dead when their telecoms provider gets jittery. There are lots more scam style photoshoot operators around, so you'll still have a choice of where to lose your money, unfortunately.

Had my first call today from this number. Their mistake for giving me their number as, a solution for me is to add them to my contacts on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and tick the box at the bottom, "Send directly to voicemail". Problem solved, no missed calls..... I would like to answer it though and question how they got my number in the first place. These calls from numerous companies do my head in and it shouldn't be legal!

This number also appears with a +27 44 prefix and +27 is South africa!

Hey, I was called by this number with some fantastic offer/ package for a mobile/telephone and broadband. When they insisted I accept, I demanded their agent to forward their company address including website etc. Funny enough, he responded by saying only registered customers can access the company website. Beware!!!!!!!

I received a call from this number on my mobile - as I didn't recognise the number, I didn't answer it, I just put it on silent.  How on earth did they get my mobile number?  I don't give it out to anyone except people I know and then I register their name against their number.

This person called me claiming i had been selected, and had won a free iPhone, (it never came) and for some free lottery tickets. At that point i stated my disinterest and hung up.
How odd...
